After more than 14 remarkable years on the Las Vegas Strip, Studio 54 at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino closed its doors Sunday, Feb. 5. The legendary nightclub celebrated its success with an unforgettable bash Saturday, Feb. 4 hosted by LL COOL J.

During his dynamic performance LL incorporated several remixes and all-time favorites like “Going Back to Cali,” “Doin’ It” and “Phenomenon.” LL got up close and personal with the crowd playing on Sunday’s New England Patriots – New York Giants showdown, clearly showing his bias toward the Giants. Throughout this performance, he pulled girls up on stage with him to dance, wished one special fan a happy birthday and congratulated a bride and groom celebrating their recent nuptials at the club that were still wearing their wedding dress and tuxedo.
LL concluded his performance with one last shout out to Studio 54 as balloons fell from the ceiling. The club’s final party continued into the early morning hours with an eclectic mix of “then and now” club hits while the crowd enjoyed aerialist and dance routines which have become synonymous with the legendary nightclub.
