World Famous Dance Crew Jabbawockeez Premieres “MÜS.I.C.” at Monte Carlo Resort and Casino

Jabbawockeez, the world-famous hip hop dance crew, opened its new 90 minute show “MÜS.I.C.,” (pronounced muze – I – see ) at Monte Carlo Resort and Casino on Friday, Oct. 22. The critically acclaimed show is described as an audio-visual story of inspiration brought to life through the harmonization of sound and movement. During its initial runs earlier this year at the MGM Resort their show was a sold-out success.

Jabbawockeez (whose name is derived from Lewis Carroll’s poem) wears expressionless white masks and gloves to guide the audience’s attention away from individual identities and toward a unified group. That way they create a canvas for the audience to visualize the music by painting artistic imagery through their intricate moves. In addition to their signature look and dance moves, their fast paced energetic show is enhanced by the use of video, special effects and lighting, and a soundtrack from several music genres.

After being crowned the original champions of MTV’s reality dance series competition “Randy Jackson Presents America’s Best Dance Crew” in 2008, their unmatched talent and captivating style quickly became a fan favorite and gained them international fame. Since winning the coveted title they have appeared on numerous television shows including “Dancing With The Stars,” “So You Think You Can Dance,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “Regis & Kelly,” “The TODAY Show,” “E! News,” “America’s Next Top Model” and “MTV.”

“Adding them to our list of performers brings an enhanced level of excitement to the resort and will provide guests with another sensational entertainment option,” said Anton Nikodemus, president and COO of Monte Carlo.

Immediately following the Grand Opening performance there was a celebratory after party in the Ignite Lounge with the cast, their family and friends and other invited guests who enjoyed complimentary cocktails including the “Jabba No Wockee” and mini cupcakes topped by pieces of chocolate in the form of a Jabbawockeez mask. Celebrities in attendance included Emmy nominated hip hop choreographers Napolean and Tabitha, who directed the show (and are known for their work on the popular TV series So you Think You Can Dance), Monte Carlo headliner, impressionist Frank Caliendo, Jersey Boys cast members Travis Cloer and Jeff Leibow, Phantom – The Las Vegas Spectacular’s Kristi Holden, magician Nathan Burton accompanied by his mother and cast members from the topless revue 'Fantasy'.

Tickets for Jabbawockeez is priced at $79, $59 and $49, not including applicable service charges and taxes.
