The Palazzo Hosts Glass Slipper Soiree to Benefit Operation School Bell Program

The Palazzo, in partnership with Luxury Las Vegas magazine, hosted the ‘Glass Slipper Soiree’ at Azure Luxury Pool, to benefit Assistance League® Las Vegas on Thursday Oct. 7.

More than 500 guests attended the Soiree donating 600 pairs of shoes and $5,450 in support of Assistance League’s Operation School Bell program. Through Operation School Bell, Assistance League’s flagship program, more than 7,000 at-risk students are provided with new school clothes, health packs and school supplies annually. Assistance League® has been serving Southern Nevada’s children for over 30 years. It’s an all-volunteer run organization with no paid staff members.

Guests enjoyed savory wines and hors d’oeuvres provided by The Palazzo’s own Zine, Lagasse’s Stadium and The Venetian’s Valentino while listening to music provided by DJ Twisted.

To conclude the evening, a variety of lavish prizes were raffled off to attendees from various retail boutiques within The Grand Canal Shoppes and The Shoppes at The Palazzo including Jimmy Choo, Diane von Furstenberg, Barneys New York, Cole Haan, Tory Burch, Chloe, Banana Republic, Gregory’s and Claudio Milano. Each retailer provided shoe fashions to showcase their fall footwear lines.

“This has been my life’s work,” said Charlotte Besuden, president of Assistance League Las Vegas. “We are so thrilled to partner with The Palazzo for the Glass Slipper Soiree. The turn out was amazing and the overwhelming amount of shoes is unbelievable and will help out so many local children.”
