Lagasse Stadium at The Palazzo Hosts Premiere After Party for "TAKERS"

On Wednesday evening August 17, a star-studded invitation-only premiere After Party for the SONY Pictures Entertainment release, The Takers, was held inside Lagasse Stadium at The Palazzo Las Vegas.

The film takes you into the world of a notorious group of criminals who continue to baffle police by pulling off perfectly executed bank robberies.

A Red Carpet event took place outdoors on Las Vegas Boulevard in front of the entrance to Lagasse Stadium and drew hundreds of screaming fans that stood behind the velvet ropes hoping to get a glimpse of the arriving celebrities.

Those who walked the red carpet and posed for press photographers before entering the After Party were actors from the film: Hayden Christensen, Tip “T.I.” Harris, Michael Ealy, Idris Elba, Jay Hernandez; director John Luessenhop, screenwriter Avery Duff, producer Will Packer, Reality TV and PEEPSHOW stars, Holly Madison, Angel Porrino and Josh Strickland; Las Vegas' headliners, Recycled Percussion; The Hills reality TV star Stephanie Pratt, 2007 Playboy Playmate Patrice Hollis, and DJ Cassidy.

Stephanie Pratt was so excited about the TAKERS movie that she actually cancelled her plans just so she could make the premiere. "I want to see this movie so bad. It has been on my radar to see, Stephanie said. It just looks so great.”

Hayden and Jay arrived to the after party a little early than the rest of the TAKERS cast and decided to test their luck on the casino tables as they were spotted playing blackjack on the casino floor of The Palazzo. We didn't do as well as we hoped, but it was definitely fun playing," Jay Hernandez said. "Now it's just time to relax and celebrate this awesome movie.”

Michael Ealy had another reason to celebrate in Las Vegas. It was just announced that Ealy will star in a new show "Common Law" on the USA Network.

I love the fact that we are here in Vegas to celebrate the TAKERS, T.I. said. We have so much to celebrate right now and this is the perfect place to do it.

I had the chance to speak briefly with Takers director, John Luessenhop. When I asked what his next project was, he said “I am hoping to do a prequel to The Takers and would love to film it in Las Vegas. The city has all the energy that the cast is all about.”

Once inside, VIP party guests had the chance to mingle with the stars of the film and were treated to complimentary hors d'œuvres, Specialty cocktails served by Remy Martin V.S.O.P including "The Ghost" named after T.I.'s character in the movie, and a delicious specialty drink created by Kettle One Oranje for the party called "The Breeze”.

TAKERS will be released in theatres August 27.
