Las Vegas Strip Goes Dark for Earth Hour

From 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday night, March 27, major hotel casinos from the south end to the north end of the strip went dark in support of a global cause - raising awareness of climate change. The neon signs as well as the Luxor's sky high beam of light and the Welcome to Las Vegas sign were dimmed for the third annual Earth Hour. This year, more than 30 Strip resorts and malls as well as Boyd Gaming properties off the Strip and other local landmarks and government buildings throughout the valley participated.

Las Vegas joined with more than 4,000 cities in 120 countries to send a message about climate change and the importance of energy conservation. Earth Hour originated in Australia several years ago and because of that connection, the guys from Thunder from Down Under and Human Nature were involved.

The Thunder from Down Under guys put on, then quickly took off Earth Hour shirts.

Also, the four singing sensations that comprise Human Nature posed for a quick shot in front of their sign on the Imperial Palace.
