Pet'ographique's Grand Re-Opening Celebration Raises Funds for Animal Rescues and Shelters
Three years ago, local pet photographer, Arica Dorff opened her exclusive pet photography studio and high-end boutique Pet’ographique that has since proven to be a successful, rewarding endeavor in more ways than one. To celebrate her newly renovated studio, on Saturday, July 25 Dorff hosted a grand re-opening champagne party at the Henderson location with all of the proceeds from the sale of the evening’s raffles going to local animal rescues and shelters.

Dorff and her husband are rescue dog owners themselves. "Now", Dorff says, "photographing rescued animals is part of our weekly studio routine. Capturing a portrait that represents their personality has been an important step to helping many sweet dogs find wonderful homes. The portraits help in the animal’s adoption process," says Dorff, but added, "what these rescues really need is money for vet bills, surgeries and boarding fees."
Rescue groups that regularly bring homeless dogs to Pet’ographique for professional portraits are the Las Vegas Weimaraner Rescue, the Las Vegas Basset Rescue and the Saint Bernard Rescue.

Highlights of the evening were a theatre slideshow featuring many Pet'ographique clients and their pets, and a highly-anticipated raffle which totaled over $2,000 in prizes. Included were, complimentary Pet’ographique portrait sessions, canvas wall portraits, pet grooming services, custom pet-themed jewelry, animal acu-massage certificates, sterling silver photo jewelry, freshly cooked food for dogs and much more.
The spirited event attracted more than 100 guests, some accompanied by their four-legged companions. Party guest, Dave Weyant, commented, "My wife, Melissa, and I were amazed by the positive energy surrounding us. Everyone attending had a sincere love for animals as well a great appreciation for Arica's photography. There were people, dogs, champagne, food and lots of great conversation with others who love animals as much as we do. We can't wait for Pet'ographique's next party!"

Raffle ticket sales totaled over $1,600 in donations to local animal organizations. "We are elated by the fantastic turnout and we are glad to see all of our hard work and planning pay off to help local rescues and shelters", says Dorff. Pet'ographique will be involved in a variety of upcoming animal fundraising events including, Weim & Wine in September organized by the Las Vegas Weimaraner Rescue and Family, Fur & Fun Festival in October benefiting the Nevada SPCA.
Pet’ographique is located at 10271 S. Eastern Avenue in the Siena Promenade, next to Buffalo Wild Wings.
