TV’s 90210 Actress AnnaLynne McCord Joins Sirens of TI In Celebration of their 5th Anniversary

Saturday evening October 24,  sexy actress AnnaLynne McCord, star of TV’s 90210,  joined the cast of Sirens of TI and assumed the fierce role of “Sin,” the production’s fearsome lead seductress in celebration of Sirens of TI’s  5-year anniversary.  Scantily clad in a beaded silver Sirens of TI costume, AnnaLynne kicked off the night with an electrifying red carpet at Christian Audigier The Nightclub, where she posed with members of the cast.  AnnaLynne was even hoisted up by two of the production’s infamous Pirates as onlookers cheered her on.

Following the red carpet, AnnaLynne appeared in a special never-before-seen performance by the Sirens of TI, as she sailed into the bay outside of Treasure Island Hotel & Casino as the figurehead on the show’s iconic pirate ship. McCord then took “center ship” showing off her provocative moves and shimmied along with the Sirens in the final dance number of the production, which featured high divers and an electrifying pyrotechnics display. Thousands of viewers crowded along the perimeter of the property located on Las Vegas Blvd. and on the patio of Christian Audigier The Nightclub to watch AnnaLynne in the spectacular production, that has welcomed more than 10 million viewers since its 2003 debut.

Following the show, AnnaLynne hosted a bash inside Christian Audigier The Nightclub at TI as a continuation of the Sirens of TI celebration. The actress danced with members of the cast in the club’s VIP area and helped them celebrate their birthday as they blew out the candles on an extravagant pirate ship birthday cake.
The dynamic outdoor production of Sirens of TI can be seen at Treasure Island Hotel & Casino nightly at 7 p.m., 8:30 p.m.10 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Celebrates Expansion Milestone with Topping Off Ceremony for New Tower.

Friday, Oct. 24, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino hosted its topping-off ceremony for the new 17 story North Tower that is slated for completion in September 2009.  A crane lifted the traditional evergreen tree and American flag to the top of the structure as hundreds of team members, executives and construction workers looked on.

“This is a monumental occasion for the Hard Rock, and we are very pleased to celebrate this expansion milestone,” said Yale Rowe, senior vice president and general manager of operations for the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. “We have great faith in the resiliency of Las Vegas and while much of our attention is focused on current market conditions, we continue to position the Hard Rock for the future.  We are fortunate to be well-funded with partners who have not wavered in their commitment to the redevelopment of the Hard Rock.”

The new hotel tower is part of Hard Rock’s widely publicized $750 million expansion project and will feature 479 guest rooms, state-of-the-art meeting space, and ten luxurious “pool suites” on the main level offering direct access to Hard Rock’s world famous Beach Club swimming pool. Crowning the tower will be a decadent 3400 square-foot Penthouse.

The event also marked the property’s progress and uninterrupted construction since announcing plans to expand last year. More than 700 construction workers and executives from MJ Dean Construction and its subcontractors attended the three-hour event, celebrating their accomplishment with a catered barbeque, raffles and entertainment.

Keith Barry Hypnomagician Dazzles Audiences at Planet Hollywood

He may not yet be a household name in the United States, but Irish hypnomagician Keith Barry, a European phenomenon, who has sold out shows across the continent, and first astonished American audiences with his celebrity-filled hour-long magic TV special for CBS, is well on his way to stardom on this side of the Atlantic.

001-kieth-barry-1

Barry recently opened his show at Planet Hollywood for a limited engagement and following his performance on media night, all I heard were words of praise by audience members who were blown away by his show that blends hypnotic suggestions (mind control), magical illusions, reading people’s minds and even going so far as to stop his own pulse.   Add me to that growing list of admirers who can’t figure out how he does what he does.  All I know is that he left me in a state of awe and mystified by his incredible talent.
As usual, a hypnotist has no act without willing and eager subjects from the audience and several are selected to accompany him on stage via a random toss and catch of a large Frisbee or plastic rocket.  Once by his side, those chosen are literally at his command and unaware what Barry has up his sleeve, or more fitting, in his thoughts, but the result is mind boggling.  In addition to his talents, Keith Barry is quite a handsome fellow with a quick wit and engaging personality. Needless to say he has what it takes to grab the attention of everyone in his audience.

Keith Barry: Hypnomagician will perform October 28 through November 27 at 9:30 p.m. nightly except for November 6, 14, 15 &19 in the Planet Hollywood Showroom. Tickets are now on sale and are priced at $55 + tax.

Amazing Johnathan’s Annual Halloween Party

On Thursday, October 30, after attending the media night performance for Criss Angel Believe, I headed over to Amazing Johnathan’s pre Halloween Party at his warehouse located in southeast Las Vegas. This was the third year I was invited to his annual Halloween bash and, like the previous years, AJ once again threw a fabulous party that included several of his celebrity friends, guests dressed in striking costumes, food and drink, and “freak show” entertainment.  But in order to partake in the revelry, arriving guests were first led through a series of haunted rooms with scary twists and turns before winding up at the indoor/outdoor party setting.
