Named for the Mexican state of Jalisco, the birthplace of tequila, the traditional menu found at Super Mex has been expanded and incorporated with new innovations to create an unforgettable culinary experience.
Featuring authentic “casero”, or home-made style cuisine that combine old world spices, Jalisco Cantina's diverse menu offers more than 90 delicious items to reflect its richness.
Select favorites include guacamole made from whole avocados, tortillas cooked fresh, black boiled beans, and an array of cheeses such as queso fresco, manchego, monterrey jack, and quesadilla, and margaritas made from only 100% agave tequila and real fruit juices, to accompany each meal.
At a media event last week, guests (including yours truly) were treated to a flavorful variety of guacamole dips, an assortment of appetizers that included skewered shrimp wrapped in bacon in an adobo barbeque sauce, wild mushroom quesadillas, roasted pork carnitas, tacos del campo which is deep fried avocado in a street (open faced) taco, chicken adobo quesadilla, and shredded chicken and beef taquitos. Everything was a feast for the eyes and just as delicious.

If you are looking for some great Mexican food with a new twist, you must visit Jalisco Cantina at your choice of two locations: 3460 East Sunset Road at Pecos or 6450 S. Durango at Sunset. The inviting restaurant and adjoining cantina are opened 24/7 serving Mexican breakfasts and dinners with the friendliness you would find in our own home. On Tuesdays and Saturdays, diners can also enjoy live blues music performed by local musicians.
