I was at the opening night performance last year and gave it a rave review. Since then, I have returned several times to share it with friends who enjoyed it as much as I.
Vegas! The Show is a highly entertaining production that has it all, a storyline that takes the audience on a journey down memory lane paying tribute to vintage Vegas, the entertainers and the glitz and glamour that made the city famous. The show features an incredibly talented cast of singers and dancers and a live big band orchestra that are the best in the business, plus gorgeous costumes, and fabulous, innovative choreography by Tiger Martina.
As far as I was concerned, there wasn't anything that needed improvement. However, before entering the showroom for the anniversary performance, I was informed of recent changes to the show which took me by surprise. After all, why fix what isn't broken. Yet, I can honestly say I was wowed. As a result of some tweeking and some new additions to the cast the show is even better than ever.
There isn't one weak act, performer or sour note. Notable standouts are charismatic leads Eric Jordan Young and Reva Rice, both outstanding singers and dancers. Tap dancing identical twins Sean and John will blow you away with their awesome footwork and great stage presence, and lead dancer, flame haired Tara Palsha's mesmerizing dance skills and sex appeal are through the roof. As for the new additions to the cast, leaving a lasting impression in more ways than one are former American Idol second season finalist Lou Gazzara whose tribute to Elvis, Elton John, Frank Sinatra and newly added Wayne Newton are first rate, and David Villella with his own masterful, interpretive, fun take on Tom Jones and a few of his chart topping hits.
