Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens Unveils
Winter Display

Bellagio’s Conservatory & Botanical Gardens  unwrapped its extravagant holiday display, inviting visitors to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year now through January 1. Decked in holiday-trimmed botanical elements, the Conservatory features a 42-foot-tall fir tree sparkling with thousands of lights, a beautifully snowcapped mountain range, a cozy Swiss chalet and Santa’s large sleigh filled with gifts.

When guests set foot into Bellagio’s winter wonderland, time stands still, with each garden bed representing a holiday tradition or magical moment. Designed by Ed Libby and the Bellagio Horticulture team, this year’s theme is appropriately titled “Holiday Time,”   inspired by MGM Resorts International’s recent brand campaign “It's Time” which entices guests to return to the Las Vegas experiences they know and love.
“They’ve outdone themselves again with this year’s theme which  offers a glimpse of treasured time-honored holiday traditions while creating memorable moments and whimsical vignettes at every turn,”said Libby.

Towering high above this year’s display in the West Bed is a 42-foot-tall fresh-cut fir tree from California’s Mt. Shasta. Elegantly decorated with 7,000 twinkling white lights and 2,500 modern vintage gem-colored ornaments, the tree is crowned with a glimmering Swarovski crystal tree topper and is surrounded by 25-foot-tall fragrant fir trees. A welcoming tree farm stand is brightly lit to evoke nostalgic memories about holiday traditions. Nearby, a vibrantly colored sleigh prepared to deliver gifts around the world is perched among enormous, oversized poinsettias made of hundreds of preserved roses.

Additional recent and upcoming ”happenings” in and around Las Vegas include:

On Tuesday, November 16, House of Blues headliner CARLOS SANTANA was joined by Henderson Mayor Debra March as they visited the home of Reuben Nieves, a homeowner through the Habitat for Humanity program. The group came together to unveil the placement of a PEACE-designed bench in Reuben’s front yard. The “PEACE” bench is part of a series of benches that local artist Justin Lepper of Vegas Murals and wood and metal artist Kerm Sablan created in honor of Santana’s long running show at House of Blues. Creating the bench and placing it in the new Pittman community developed by Habitat for Humanity is a way for neighbors to gather, share a cup of coffee, and get to know each other. A fun and artful way to give back to the community.  Carlos and the Mayor then walked to the Phase 2 construction site where they wrote some messages of encouragement for future homeowners. Carlos’ message - “Change your mind, change your destiny.” is a great message for the future homeowners.
