Peepshow Concludes Four Year Run at Planet Hollywood

PEEPSHOW, the striptease spectacular at Planet Hollywood, came to a close after its 9:30 p.m. performance on Sunday, September 1, 2013.  For one last time, the sexy cast tantalized the crowd with their sizzling performance, receiving tremendous applause  as they took their final bows.

Alongside previous Peepshow performers, the cast received red roses and listened to heartfelt speeches given by headliner and TV reality vixen Coco, “Peep Diva” Cheaza, vocalist Josh Strickland and PEEPSHOW Associate Director and Co-Choreographer, Nick Kenkel.

Created and directed by Tony Award®-winner Jerry Mitchell, PEEPSHOW debuted at Planet Hollywood in March 2009 as a modern burlesque show combining sexy striptease and celebrity with top-of-the-line production values and specifically designed for the dynamic, glamorous audience that exists only in the adult playground of Las Vegas.  During its run PEEPSHOW welcomed to the stage an incomparable lineup of well-known beauties including pop sensations Mel B. and Aubrey O’Day, soap starlet Kelly Monaco and Broadway actress Shoshana Bean, blonde bombshell Holly Madison and reality siren, Coco. Since its premiere PEEPSHOW has been singled out by critics as “Sin City’s Sexiest Burlesque Act!,” “A frisky, flashy update on that Vegas staple, the topless burlesque show.,” “The Strip’s MUST SEE entertainment,” and “The sexiest show on the planet!”
during its  four-year run Peepshow completed more than 1,500 performances at Planet Hollywood.

Additional recent and upcoming “happenings” in and around Las Vegas include:

RAIDING THE ROCK VAULT—the ultimate classic rock concert experience - staged at LVH – Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, has announced that veteran Las Vegas radio personality Mike O’Brian has joined the cast for seven performances. The KKLZ morning show co-host steps in from Sept. 2-10 while RAIDING THE ROCK VAULT resident DJ Richard Malmos is away.

The 2013 Super Summer Theatre ends the season with performances of “THE PRODUCERS” beginning on Thursday, September 5 at the Spring Mountain Ranch State Park, located 10 miles west of 215 on Charleston.  Performances are Thursday – Saturday, September 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14,19, 20 and 21. Parking opens at 5 PM; Meadow seating opens at 6 PM Show starts at 7 p.m.  A limited number of tickets are available at the gate the night of the show for $20.

The first-annual FESTIVAL OF FASHION will take place Sept. 6-7, 2013 at THE FORUM SHOPS AT CAESARS PALACE in Las Vegas. The two-day extravaganza will feature full days of live fashion presentations, pop up fashion shows, beauty bars, photo opportunities, entertainment, food, drink, lounges, one-of-a-kind in-store events, limited edition products and more.
In addition, Festival of Fashion attendees can also register to win one of four, $500 Forum Shops Shopping Sprees during the two-day event. Register for the giveaway near the Atlantis Fountain in The Great Roman Hall anytime Friday or Saturday between 10 a.m. - midnight. Even better, winners do not have to be present to win.

The newly-opened Carmine’s NYC Italian Family Restaurant, Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab, Spago and Trevi Italian Restaurant will each present a fashionable signature cocktail to mark the stylish celebration.
Stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and pro poker player GABE KAPLAN – the star of ‘70s sitcom “Welcome Back, Kotter” -- brings his stand-up act to the Suncoast Showroom, September 7 and 8.  Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available from $15.95 each, plus tax and convenience fees.

TONY SACCA, entertainer and host of syndicated television shows “Entertainment Las Vegas Style” and “Las Vegas Rocks Variety Show” will headline in the Chrome Showroom at Santa Fe Station with The Saccettes and the live eight-piece Michael T Band on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at 7 p.m. Admission, which includes a free Las Vegas Rocks Alarm Clock, is $15 cash at the door.

THE DEVICE SHOW on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 8 p.m. at Fremont Country Club has been CANCELLED, due to complications of lead singer David Draiman’s wife’s pregnancy. Draiman has chosen to stay close to home until the baby is born. Refunds are available at the original point of purchase.

Former adult actress and HBO starlet, KATIE MORGAN, will host “Pussy Galore,” a party benefitting Heaven Can Wait Animal Society, a local no-kill animal shelter, on Wednesday, Sept. 11, inside The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian | The Palazzo.  The ACT encourages adoption from an animal shelter, rather than purchase from a breeder. T-shirts with this slogan will be sold at “Pussy Galore,” with proceeds directly benefiting Heaven Can Wait Animal Society.  The ACT will offer $50 bottles of champagne for VIP table guests, which benefits Heaven Can Wait Animal Society and will be used for a venue-wide champagne shower at 1:30 a.m.

FANTASY’s new leading lady JAIME LYNCH will strut her stuff as a ring girl for the highly anticipated boxing match between Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Canelo Alvarez at the MGM Grand Garden Arena Saturday, Sept. 14. Lynch is one of three ring girls selected for the big event that will air on Showtime PPV.

On Saturday, Sept. 14 THE D AND GOLDEN GATE will host their inaugural BEERFEST featuring more than 60 craft beers from 50 breweries around the world. Starting at 5 p.m., the downtown hotels invite guests to gather in front of the historic Golden Gate on the Fremont Street Experience for a brew-filled festival.  From craft lagers and indulgent malts to crisp ales and refreshing ciders, One Fremont Street will be a beer lover’s paradise. Aficionados can choose to sample five beers for $20 or enjoy “bottomless brews” for $40. Single drafts will also be available for purchase.  A DJ will spin upbeat jams from the Main Street Stage while Golden Gate’s signature dancing dealers show off their best moves from OneBar. In an effort to fight hunger among more than 16 million American children, this September, GRIMALDI'S PIZZERIA is joining thousands of restaurants nationwide to support SHARE OUR STRENGTH'S NO KID HUNGRY CAMPAIGN by raising funds in their restaurants. From September 15th through September 22nd guests will be able to donate $5 or $10 to No Kid Hungry, and will receive $5 or $10, respectively, back to use on their next visit to Grimaldi’s. 100% of the raised proceeds will benefit No Kid Hungry. Rudy Foundation is proud to announce its new fundraising program for the arts, MUSICAL FUSION FUNDRAISERS (MFF).  MFF presents its first story-telling showcase, “Life Is a Cabaret: A Story about Relationships,” featuring local directors, educators and performers from Las Vegas’ most celebrated productions, Saturday, Sept. 21 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 22 at 2 p.m. at The Summerlin Library and Performing Arts Center (1771 Inner Circle Drive)   MFF adds a twist to the traditional cabaret by bringing different styles of music together into one production to tell a story.  Each MFF cabaret will tell a unique story and inspire audiences with a new message. “Life Is a Cabaret” will focus primarily on Broadway show tunes while also incorporating pop music to help tell a story about the joys and woes of relationships.

RAMMY-Award winning mega-producer and DJ, Calvin Harris, joined by English progressive house DJ Michael Woods kept the energy up with vibrant sets in the main room at Hakkassan Las Vegas.

British artist Zen Freeman got the party started at WET REPUBLIC at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. Later in the day, top-tier electronic music sensation Calvin Harris manned the decks and transformed the dayclub into the ultimate midday bash.

R&B icon Ginuwine closed out Labor Day Weekend with a live performance at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens at Paris Las Vegas.

Shaquille O’Neal’s All-Star Comedy Jam starring Mike Epps took over The Joint, Hard Rock Hotel’s award-winning entertainment venue. The evening was full of surprises including an appearance by Shaq himself. The lineup included host Mike Epps and comedians Henry Welch, Lil Rel, Deon Cole and DeRay Davis. Hakkasan guests received a special treat as renowned music icon Moby delighted the crowd with an exclusive one-off performance, the first time the GRAMMY Award-nominated artist has performed at the venue.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino continued with non-stop, star-studded parties on Sunday, Aug. 31.

Multi-platinum artist Snoop Lion aka Snoop Dogg perfomed at REHAB, Las Vegas’ original dayclub. Following his performance, Snoop Lion was spotted hanging out onstage with singer Trey Songz.

At night PEEPSHOW headliner and “Ice Loves Coco” reality star Coco hosted Sunday School at Body English Nightclub & Afterhours. The star was joined by her husband, actor and rapper Ice-T, family and cast mates including reality star Josh Strickland as they commemorated the conclusion of PEEPSHOW’s four and a half-year run. Among the partiers was founding member of 98 Degrees, Jeff Timmons. He was joined by cast members of his new male revue Men of the Strip.
