Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Honors Comedian and Vinyl Headliner Andrew Dice Clay with Memorabilia Case
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino welcomed legendary comedian Andrew Dice Clay to his new home at Vinyl with a memorabilia case dedication on Tuesday afternoon, March 12.
Several of Clay’s iconic leather jackets will be on display in the Memorabilia case in the hallway between The Joint and Vinyl throughout his three month residency, which kicks off Thursday evening, March 14.

Among the items of clothing visitors will be able to view behind the glass casing is a zebra print jacket the bold entertainer wore at the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards. Following his speech, he was banished from the channel and remains the only performer banned for life.
Other items on display include a patent leather and rawhide vest seen on current ads and billboards; a jacket worn during his performance at the Brendan Byrne Arena in New Jersey that sold out 21,500 seats in 41 minutes; a jacket with re, yellow an orange flames, that was worn on an album titled “40 Too Long” recorded at the Governers Comedy Club in Levittown, Long Island; and a black jacket that was made specifically for Dice to wear while he played blackjack during his headlining stint at Ballys Las Vegas. “That black jacket was used to win millions of dollars in Vegas. But, I gave it back immediately so they could keep their lights on,” Dice said jokingly.

Joining Clay at the unveiling was Jody Lake, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Chief Operating Officer and Paul Davis, Hard Rock's V.P. of Entertainment. “This is our first-ever comedian residency,” said Lake. “So we’re very excited about having Andrew Dice Clay at Vinyl.”

Following his introduction, Clay explained the importance of each piece of clothing in the case, talked about his new residency at Vinyl and posed for photos in front of his iconic jackets.
With his signature sarcasm, he declared that after his show opens Thursday, “No other Vegas comic will be able to sell tickets. Every comedian should leave town now because my show will be filled every night.”
“I’m very excited to be at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, because it’s the rock ‘n’ roll hotel and I’m the rock ‘n’ roll comedian,” said Clay. He then added, “There was only one Elvis as the ‘King of Rock’ and there is only one Andrew Dice Clay, "The King of Comedy."

Galaxy Green Valley Luxury+ Theatre celebrated its grand opening with a private VIP reception and a special private movie screening on Thursday, Mar. 7.
The event featured a celebrity red carpet and a ceremonial ribbon cutting with Henderson Mayor Andy A. Hafen and Henderson Councilwoman Gerri Schroder along with Galaxy Theatres executives. Councilwoman Gerri Schroder presented the President of Galaxy Theatres, Rafe Cohen, with a special proclamation from Mayor Hafen proclaiming Mar. 7-10 Galaxy Luxury+ Days.

After a successful start in late 2011 and customers demanding expansion, Greens & Proteins Healthy Kitchen and Juice Bar recently opened a new Southwest location at West Flamingo and the 215 beltway.

I recently visited the new venue and was given a chance to sample several breakfast items, and as a non meat eater, I was thrilled to see an array of menu options that were to my liking.
Known for its fresh and flavorful food offerings, the new Greens & Proteins location keeps to the simplicity of eating clean with energizing juices and smoothies, health-conscious menu items and the debut of breakfast offerings exclusive to the new location. Highlights of the morning menu includes Protein Pancakes with organic agave syrup, Scrambled Tofu with tomatoes, basil and tofu chorizo, House Made Granola and more. Each of the menu items is not only eye pleasing, but also absolutely delicious and affordable.
Greens & Proteins offers a wholesome array of fresh, made-to-order soups, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, and pizzas all with a healthy twist along with the popular “Build Your Own Meal” option. Favorites like the Margherita Pizza, Bison Cheese Steak and Turkey Burger remain as staples on the menu while vegan, raw, vegetarian-friendly and HCG diet meals are also offered. Speedy options are available for those desiring a quick and healthy lunch as an alternative to fast food.
Juices, fresh-blended smoothies and coffee drinks dubbed Greens and Caffeines complement the eatery’s signature fare. The brothers both competed in the Nationwide Series today and Austin Dillon, who was 2012’s NASCAR Nationwide Rookie of the Year, also competed in the Sprint Cup Series on Sunday.
