Up Close and Personal with …

At the Scinta’s media night for their new show, Laughing Out Loud,
Chrissi Scinta showed her mom Mary a gift she got for her birthday.

Frank Scinta and Rich Little shared a moment following the Scinta’s show
at the Hilton. Rich is getting ready for his new show at the Golden
Nugget.

Kelly Clinton and her beau Clint Holmes were on hand to wish the Scintas
well at their new production. Kelly and Clint are planning to tie the
knot in November.

Vinnie Favorito has a unique brand of humor. He calls himself “a
roaster”
I attended Comedian Vinnie Favorito “Check Your F*#@ing Attitude at the
Door” Party at O’Sheas to celebrate his resigning with the strip casino.
The Italian-style feast was boisterous and fun, a great appetizer for
the special Vinnie Favorito brand of humor that followed later at his
show.

Mac and Jennifer King came by to support Vinnie Favorito
I had a chance to meet and chat with Jennifer King, wife of Harrah’s
afternoon comic, Mac King. They had to duck out early, as Mac was taking
Jennifer out to El Molino to celebrate her October 5th birthday. I told
Jennifer that she shares her birthday with Chrissi Scinta. In fact, I
had given Chrissi special birthday wishes just a few days earlier when I
took in the Scinta’s great new show, Laughing Out Loud at their new
location in the Shimmer Cabaret room at the Las Vegas Hilton.

Brian Thomas looked like a mini Vini in his black leather jacket
Brian Thomas, O’Sheas Lucky Leprechaun was mixing and mingling at the
party. looking like a mini Vinnie with a similar black leather jacket.
Brian works the room at O’Sheas, giving away free drinks at the bar and
participating in other special promotions.

Marc Savard and his lovely assistant Rochel Moore had to scoot out as
soon as Vinnie's show ended to make Marc's 10:30 p.m. show
What a great show hypnotist Marc Savard put on Saturday night at the V
theater. The audience members couldn’t wait to get up on stage. The 13
hypnotized volunteers were as entertaining as any strip show headliners.
The show ended with the words “Marc: We will miss you.” On the screens
that border the stage. This was Marc’s last show in that facility.
According to the box office, The show, Mesmorized, will continue with a
guest hypnotist. Marc told me that he’ll be working on his personal
development seminars. I would not be surprised if we find him in front
of an audience again in the near future.

Richard Simmons continues to inspire and educate people.
I met Richard Simmons at The Boomer show. His fans seem to have a grand
old time exercising with Richard as their leader. It’s clear that he has
lasted so long because he connects with his audience.
Although he had some nervous support staff concerned about him missing
his flight, he took the time to speak with every single person who had
lined up to meet him. When I told him I have an 89 year old Mom, Elsie,
he gave me an autographed photo to give her and said to send her his
love. Fans were wearing signs telling how much weight they have lost.
Richard looks good and his energy seems boundless.
Well, Vegas is a town of boundless everything, isn’t it!
