 Penn & Teller, Criss Angel, Frank Marino and more...

Did you see Penn of "Penn and Teller" magic fame on TV "Dancing With the Stars". I did not approve of the judges voting (so what!!) but I thought Penn looked great and was the best fancy foot dancer. And did you notice all of the weight he had lost. This is a photo of Penn and Teller with me during one of their press parties awhile back.

Criss Angel ,a favorite magician in Las Vegas has been in New Orleans. Criss performed a double straitjacket stunt 75 feet above Bourbon Street in the heart of New Orleans' French Quarter for two episodes of his "Mindfreak" TV show that will begin airing in June.

For awhile Frank Marino was a neighbor of Michael Jackson and reported the children were always playing, but within the confines of a big wall around the home. Now things have changed. Michael Jackson has moved to a more public home and takes his children everywhere without those darn awful veils.

So many wonderful and fun press parties and places to go in Las Vegas. The main writer for this Flick Chicks website is Judy Thorburn. As a Las Vegas entertainment reporter and The Flick Chick movie critic Judy Thorburn and her photographer/web master husband Stephen spent four full days (March 10-13) covering ShoWest, the movie industry/theatre owners convention which was held at Paris and Bally's Hotel. One of the event highlights was the premiere of the highly anticipated movie "21" that showcases Las Vegas. Judy and her hubby were among the VIP invited guests at the premiere that included appearances by the film's stars Kevin Spacey, Laurence Fishburne, Kate Bosworth and rising star, Jim Sturgess. Afterwards the stars and guests headed over to the fabulous food and entertainment filled After Party at Planet Hollywood. Judy's coverage of ShoWest that brought out several film stars including Christian Bale, Robert Downey Jr, Brendan Fraser, Helen Hunt and many others can be found at www.theflickchicks.com. 

Hollywood's most famous P.R. icon Edward Lozzi's movie will soon be coming out. It is a comedy called "Brother of the Bride". Based on his real life with so many sisters. I really love Edward Lozzi, he always invites me to the Academy Awards "Night of A Hundred Stars".

His life will be one heck of a interesting life as that is what he has lead. Our own Las Vegas PR icon Bruce Merrin is off to L.A. to see about the launching of his client, Diana Zimmerman's new book and to see about the new launch for Beany and Cecil' new DVD series. It is also his birthday and his family has arranged a big big family party at an eatery right on the Malibu Beach.

Las Vegas is surely the most exciting city in the U.S. We have the biggest and most lavish hotels and entertainment in the world. However, I still like the small hotel best because you need a map to get around in the hotels that are so so big. But what is important is that the millions of visitors coming each day love the very, very big hotels .
