The
Olympians
Valentina Chiepig has won the titles of Ms. International in 2002,
Olympia IFBB heavyweight in 2000. and Ms Olympia lightweight 2nd place
in 2000. I went to see the competition at The Orleans Hotel & Casino in
Las Vegas and I have to say I was very impressed. Valentina’s body
looked perfect to me as I compared her on stage with the other women,
she was number one.

It takes tremendous dedication to work out and get a body like that.
Reading their daily schedules of working out and eating many meals, I
knew I could never do what they do. Oh wait, I can do one of those
things. Eat all that food but then that would only add on the pounds
because I wouldn’t do all the exercises and all the other body building
workouts.
Valentina lives in Alaska and she travels and competes in many
competitions during the year.
Valentina Chiepig

Her fiancé, Timothy Kirby who is a NPC Regional Judge and NPC State
Judge manages her career. He is so proud of her. They are planning to
move to Las Vegas next year. Then we will have 2 champion body builders
in Las Vegas.
The other fabulous champion is Jay Cutler.
www.jaycutler.com who has
won the title of Mr.Olympia for the second consecutive year. OMG what a
body. I found him to be personable and so considerate of his fans as he
stayed way beyond the ending time to make sure he met everyone. He did
not disappoint them. They all patiently stood in line, myself included,
for the opportunity to take a picture with him and talk for a few
minutes. His piercing blue eyes melted my heart. I was amazed to see and
feel his body and I did get to hold him in the picture.

He graciously took a second picture because the first one was not clear.
I definitely want him to be on my radio show for an interview.
There also was a long line waiting to meet Ronnie Coleman.

who has won the title of Mr. Olympia 8 times.

He lost the title to Jay Cutler last year and was hoping to get it back
this year. The question was “Will Jay Repeat or will Ronnie reclaim his
title”. Jay repeated to the thunderous applause of the crowd. Other easy
to look at bodies at the meet and greet were the Buff Babes.
The Buff Babes

The first night was open to the public. Jay and Ronnie had tables on
opposite sides of the room and they had the longest lines. Fans waited
for hours just to get into the room. I have seen the Olympian
competition on TV but there is nothing like seeing the real thing. I
have become an instant fan and will be there again next year. The judges
do have a hard time in judging the body builders but they do manage to
pick a number one. Congratulations to Jay Cutler Mr .Olympia 2007.
Lucky
Cheng’s Drag Queens
I guess today is the day to talk about bodies. What is it about female
impersonators, or Drag Queens, that everyone finds fascinating? Their
make up, gowns, high heels and their fabulous figures have both women
and men turning their heads. They are a sight to behold and oh so
entertaining. The first time I saw the show at Lucky Cheng’s I could not
believe how great they looked. They looked better than a real woman.

I was intrigued and fascinated how perfect they were as women. They had
the full attention of everyone in the room. The audience fully
participated in the show and it was comical to see how willing all the
men were to do what ever the drag queens asked them to do.
Vivian Dumonde

Vivian Dumonde is the shows director and is great as the hostess who
gets the show going and introduces the performers. Before the show
starts, they are actually the waitress’s bringing the dinners out to the
patrons and they are surprised later to see them in the show. “All That
Drag” dinner show is comical, hilarious and so entertaining. I got the
biggest kick out of seeing the men squirm as the ladies sang to them and
touched them in a loving feminine way. I don’t think they quite knew how
to handle it but then again, what did they expect coming to a show with
female impersonators. The drag queens loved it and so did the audience.

The Innocence and Wisdom of Youth………Michelle Owens

I once read something in an "about me" section of a friend's myspace
that really got to me. He said something along the lines of, "I'm the
same person I always have been and never have pretended to be someone
else." It made me think a lot about who I was when I was a little girl.
Thinking about her gives me so much confidence about who I am today. I
always wondered what I'd be like and look like when I was the age I am
now and I always knew I'd love my older self, she'd be so cool. But now
I see myself looking back and wanting to be her again when really I am.
I'm the same person I was and that makes me feel good about myself
because I love her so. I am her. We should all feel confident about who
we are because we're all beautiful people, no matter what you've done,
how bad or unworthy you think you are. Just think of the people who've
loved you the most and know that you are that person who is so loved.
You are worthy and you are loved so accept yourself for who you are,
beautiful, irreplaceable and wonderful.
Sometimes I think about to middle school years, perhaps the least looked
upon of mine. They were awkward, as was my whole school experience in
general. The majority of those years were spent without any real
friends. I sat alone either in a group of people or literally. I didn't
really bother anyone, I observed. I grew up alone in that way. Nobody
really liked me or wanted to bother with me at all, and I don't really
blame them. I was weird. But anything weird I ever said or did was just
an attempt of mine to reach out, to find someone to befriend. The funny
part about all of this is that now when I look at how these people I
went to school with have grown up, I somehow feel I know them. I watched
them and wanted to be their friends and even with the brutal silence I
endured, I took it as neutrality, an odd kind of peaceful being. These
people are grown and living lives I can no longer observe but through
pictures. It's sad how time moves on, yet it seems so perfect.
Everything that's ever happened in my life seems right, it happened
perfectly, the way it was meant to. Even when things went wrong and felt
so wrong at the time, it was all right. No matter what happens, it's
right, it's okay.
