of the Stars
Bobby Brooks
Bobby Brooks Hamilton was the featured star on the Show Bus of the Stars
last Saturday night.

company again as he entertained the riders with the sounds of Little
Richard, Ray Charles Marvin Gaye, Johnny Mathis and none other than
Elvis. He did a great Elvis impersonation. A group of young men
requested Michael Bolton and they went crazy hearing his song. I must
say it was excellent. Bobby always gives a high energy performance.
We sat on the upper deck of the open air London Bus and had a great view
of the entire strip as we drove down to the Stratosphere Tower. The bus
is decorated with pictures of all the stars so it attracts a lot of
attention.
www.showbusofthestars.com . It was a cold night and I borrowed Red
Skelton’s jacket to keep warm. Brian Hoffman does impersonations of Red
Skelton and Grandpa from The Munster’s. You actually will think he is
Red & Grandpa. Bobby and Brian sit with the riders and interact with
them.

The crowds waved to us as we drove by and all the construction workers
at The Palazzo gave Little Richard a roaring greeting. The
microphone blasted into the night and people could not miss seeing and
hearing us. Naturally, we all waved back and had a great time.
Hotels Paris, Harrah’s and Sahara
Stopping at the Stratosphere we ran in for a cup of hot coffee to get
warm. When we got back on the bus we did not go up on the upper deck
again. We stayed on the first level to keep warm and Bobby stayed with
us downstairs. What a guy! He personally took the time to talk to
everyone on the bus. My friends loved him and want to go on the bus tour
again.
Driving down the strip and looking at all the beautiful hotels was
spectacular. The view is not the same when you drive in your car because
you are straining to look out the windows. I once again was so grateful
and thankful to be living in Las Vegas. I now call this home.

Next time you are looking for something to do, consider spending an hour
riding down the strip and being entertained. The bus tours are at
11:00am, 7:00pm and 9:00pm. Other celebrity impersonators on the bus
tours include Elvis, Cher, Dolly Parton, Madonna, Marilyn Monroe and
Shania Twain.
The
Brookie and The Bachelor
It is said that the best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. It
must be true because all the men I know love to eat. Tell a man that you
are going to cook dinner for him and you will see his whole personality
change. He must remember his childhood days of his mother’s cooking.
The celebrity on my radio show on Monday was Chef Jodi who has relocated
from Massachusetts to start her own business, “Jodi’s Catering”

catering is a full service catering business that handles cocktail
parties, carry out dinners, craft services, picnics, huge hoe-downs,
black tie weddings and private affairs. Jodi built her dream on feeding
people and she is doing just that in Las Vegas. She gives excellent
service and designs each party exclusively for each event. She works out
of Julianne’s in Henderson and just recently catered the MTV Awards.
Looking at her brochure with all her specialties is enough to make your
mouth water.
Jodi has created “The Brookie”. It is a brownie in a cookie and it is so
delicious. Jodi says it is the next Oreo. Now you won’t have to choose
because you have both in one. What a great idea.
I first met Jodi at the Bachelors Auction in October at the South Point
Hotel. She had donated her time and Brookies to the event. As the
bachelors were bringing around the trays of Brookies, you could see the
instant hit they were making. We also received roses and wine from the
bachelors. That brings me to Charell Williams, the bachelor. The star of
the night who received the highest bid of $1200.00 for a date with him.
His package included a private meal prepared by a gourmet chef. See, it
is about food again.
Lana was the lucky lady who will be having the date with him and they
also will receive massages. I’ll bet the best part of the evening will
be the gourmet meal. Charell hails from Orlando Florida and he is a
distributor for Alkaline Healing Water.

Charell said he has lost over 50 pounds by drinking the water and he
looks fabulous. He is 6’4”, 240 lbs and only 29 years old. With his
personality and good looks he is a dream come true. Charell will be part
of the bachelor auction again next year and I’m sure he will be a big
hit again.
The Innocence and Wisdom of
Youth
 We
so often never realize just what people mean to us until they are no
longer there. Once they're gone it's hard not to feel regret and
sadness. If they leave us through death, there seems to be a permanent
hole in our hearts for them and an eternal regret. Though nothing will
bring them back it's important to learn to forgive ourselves and those
we love. Not doing so will accomplish nothing and will only hurt
yourself.
The same applies to those who have left through actions that have broken
ties or a move. Surely regret and sadness live there as well. When
attempting to rebuild the bridges that connect no longer works, and
stalking them scares them more than it helps then perhaps it is time to
forgive not only yourself but those other people as well.
I once read that people are in our lives for a reason, a season or a
lifetime. I believe that is true, look at all your relationships and
friendships and try to find a reason, how long they were in your life
and if they still are. I personally miss a friend I had named Grant and
though it seems we've lost our friendship, it's so hard to let go of
him. Perhaps he was in my life for a reason, he taught me so much and in
many ways was the support in my life I so often needed. I love and miss
him and I do hope we can be friendly once again. But if not, I will try
to remember the best of him and move on from there.
