Derrick
Cameron
We were privileged to have Derrick Cameron on our radio show on Monday.
Derrick is a headlining comedian who has appeared on The Tonight Show
with Jay Leno and on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend and many other
specials. Jay Leno comes backstage and sits with all his guests and
makes them all feel welcome. Derrick said he was very cool and it was
one of the best experiences he has had in television. Derrick has worked
with Johnny Mathis for 7 years now. He has been in the business for 25
years and with his talent he will be performing for many more years.

He kept us laughing with his humorous stories and he hit the truth dead
on. He said, "We live in a new United States of America. Since
9/11, as a black man, we are no longer the problem. We can travel on a
plane and people are actually happy we are there”. That was only one of
the many jokes he told us and one was funnier than the next.

Derrick Cameron
Also enjoying his humor was Loni Andal who had joined us for the hour
taping at our radio show. She has been an entertainer for many years,
starting at the age of 5 going back to the days of Arthur Godfrey and
Julius La Rosa. She was the opening act for Buddy Hackett in the
Catskills, New York. She also performed in Las Vegas since 1971 when she
had a Howard Hughes contract. She played in the Stardust, The Tropicana,
The Silver Slipper and many more hotels, and was the opening act for Bill Cosby, Rodney Dangerfield and Sammy
Davis Jr.
Loni recently produced the Bachelor Auction at the South Point and did a
fabulous job. She connected with the audience, and the Bachelors loved
her bantering with them on stage.

Loni Andal
The men were gorgeous and they had such magnetism, not to mention
great bodies. Loni and I said we liked shy men. Derrick said he was
shy. We said “Yah, Right”. Derrick is a handsome black man who is
6’3” tall and will melt any woman’s heart. He is the complete package
and is single. I don’t blame him for not being married. He has to
share himself with all the deserving women who want a real man.

Loni Andal, Derrick Cameron and Nikki Artale
Derrick is now playing at the Palace Station all week, Monday thru
Sunday with 2 shows nightly at 7PM and 9PM. I went to see the show on
Wednesday. It was very funny. He had the audience laughing and we
could have sat and listened to him all night. Also on the show was
Dennis Blair www.dennisblair.com
who also is one of the funniest stand up comedians and a musical
impressionist.

Dennis Blair, Rose Martinez, Derrick Cameron
Dennis has toured with George Carlin (a comedian I love) for 18 years. Dennis did an impression of Mick Jagger that
had the crowd in an uproar. This is a must see show. So call for tickets
now.

Tony
Sacca Christmas Show

Producer/Director
Tony Sacca, said that Christmas officially starts
after his Christmas Show. This is the 22nd annual “Merry Christmas Las
Vegas Show”. It definitely was reminiscent of Christmas in the showroom
at the Stratosphere Tower.

Hundreds of white lights lit up the reindeers and the candy canes.
Hundreds of wrapped presents, Christmas trees, toy soldiers and
Nutcrackers filled up the stage. Snowmen were dressed in top hats and
colorful scarves. It looked like a fairy land.
The proceeds from this event goes to the Youth Foundation for the
Performing Arts. The show features Las Vegas Headliners and Helen Joy’s
Young Entertainers. This young group of entertainers are the stars of
tomorrow.

It was so wonderful to hear the angelic voices and see the beautiful
faces of Helen Joy's Young Entertainers. Tony and the group were once again invited to the White House to
perform on Saturday Dec.8th at 7:00pm. We are proud to have Tony Sacca
represent Las Vegas. We appreciate him and all he does to put on this
Christmas show. It is such an honor to go to the White House and
perform.
Singing sensation Clint Holmes and his new bride Kelly Clinton were on
the show and as always, entertained us.

www.clintholmes.com Holmes wrote a
musical “Just Another Man” with Larry Moss and Bill Fayne. I sat at the table with Clint’s
mother, sister, daughter Brittany and grand daughter Asia. Asia is a
natural star. I asked her if she sang and danced and she said “Not on
stage but I do at home”. She is so beautiful and a delight to watch and
talk to.

What I can say about Fred Travalena is that he is a
master impressionist. He will keep you laughing throughout his
entire act.
www.fredtravalena.com He brought the house down and was very original.
Travelena recently earned his Star on the Hollywood
Walk of Fame. He has appeared on the David
Letterman show and is always on the Royal Caribbean cruise ships
entertaining the passengers. Now I have a good reason to cruise on that
line. He always has fresh new material.

Included in the line up of performing stars were comedian, Pete Barbutti

who appeared on the Johnny Carson show 62 times, the Merv Griffin
Show 65 times, and Mike Douglas 55 times; Las Vegas tenor, Teddy Davey who
is in a group of 4 talented tenors; tribute artists, Shades of Sinatra
were delightful; singer, Derek David of The Platters and headlining at
the Sahara Hotel; singers, Jeanine Marie and Michaelina; , Felix
Silla
who played Cousin Itt on The Addam's Family and also starred in Star Trek. The Michael T Orchestra was
fabulous. At the end of the show we had a surprise visit by Jack Jones
who wished everyone a Merry Christmas.

The night was filled with singing and dancing with the holiday spirit in the room. It was nice to share this evening with family and
friends. It brought back memories of childhood, of joy and laughter and
the spirit of Christmas.
With Tony Sacca's Christmas Show, it is officially the start of
Christmas.
The Innocence and Wisdom
of Youth
As
we grow older the choices we are forced to make grow more difficult.
Though we will continue to have to choose mindless tasks, between what
foods to eat and what clothes to wear, they are no longer the driving
decisions of our days. The choice between good and bad, deciding what is
right and wrong, and coming to know the deeper motives of our actions
all rule the choices we find ourselves making. Sometimes we take the
wrong road, and other times we've gone the right way. But it's often
difficult to tell which is which. Perhaps it is the choice that benefits
those we love that are for the best. Life is known for it's underlying
principle of change. Nothing lasts in this life which is exactly why we
come to the crossroads we so often find ourselves at. Unfortunately we
rarely recognize an ideal life situation until this life does what it
does best, changes, and we are forced to make a choice. The only useful
thing to do is to think clearly and steer away from the dark void of
regret which will get you nowhere. Look ahead, not behind.
