Hosts Reception at World Market Center
A “By Invitation Only” reception was held in the three Nfusion showrooms
on the first floor of the World Market Center (Building A) On Friday,
September 7th, from 4 PM to 7 PM. There are more than 500 permanent
showrooms in Building A of the World Market Center and Nfusion has three
of them: 109, 110, and 114. Their product line includes
antique reproductions, garden/patio furniture, leather furniture,
mirrors, and wall décor.

The event was open only to guests of a registered buyer, designer, or
showroom representative and constituted a private viewing. Our hostess
for the evening was Showroom Manager Debbie Tham.
Accompanied by Las Vegas Round The Clock’s owner/writer/editor-in-chief
Judy Thorburn and her Webmaster husband, Stephen, we made our way
through each suite, marveling at the impressive displays of furniture
collections and assorted decorative pieces.
Carefully placed along the hallway walls outside of the three showrooms
were colorful vases, from the very short and round to the narrow and
tall; mirrors in wood and metal, round, square and rectangular; statues
of gods and angels in each gender; and other accessories at prices so
reasonable (starting at $5.00) that all who attended could have left
with an armful of the one of a kind items. Several of the guests did
just that, hugging their finds protectively like a concerned parent.

One whole showroom (114) is devoted to Asian artifacts. Like a magical
garden, it is full of large and small statues that you may not want to
expose to the elements, but would like to put on display for as many
people to see as possible. It contains a giant shiny brass Buddha
(around 7 feet tall) and smaller Hindu gods just waiting to grace a
corner in someone’s patio or foyer. Metal is used extensively, be it
brass or iron to fashion these lasting artifacts, so full of
craftsmanship that the beading alone on one of the figures brought the
price into the thousands, even though it was a relatively small piece.
The other two showrooms are full of quality home and garden furnishings.
A long deep mahogany colored leather sofa is soft and welcoming. The
dozens of full-length wood and metal mirrors offer a kaleidoscope of
decorative frames to suit any décor. Some of the dressers and other
storage cabinets have a distressed look, if that is to your liking.
Others had the unmistakable sheen of a brand new offering.
These showrooms boast original, high-concept home furnishings, the kind
that make you wish you could leave with the entire inventory stuffed
into your pocket. You want to linger amid the finery, elegance, and
international flavor of the vases, mirrors, statues and furnishings that
send a message of exotic influence or understated elegance.
The entrance to the largest showroom (110) features a huge dark leather
armchair; the seat is three feet off of the ground and it looks like it
could have seated twin Pavarottis (may he rest in peace) comfortably.
Right next to it, for sheer contrast, is its tiny twin, large enough for
a weary Mini-me or random toddler.

This furniture is relatable to everyday life. For this viewing a wine
and cheese reception was held, so people were at home if you will with
food and drink amid the collections. A small dachshund from neighboring
JBS environments paid a visit as well. You can envision family friends
and pets relaxing in the comfort and quality of these furnishings. You
can see your own umbrella in the metal umbrella stand shaped just like
an upside-down…umbrella!
Walking through each showroom brings possibilities in indoor and outdoor
design to mind. What if I had a metal goddess in my garden? An antique
crest on my wall? And how about that tincture throng gourd vase? I
didn’t even know I wanted that! Aptly named, Nfusion will steep you in
an eclectic mixture of the elegant, the understated, the bold and the
exotic.
