Prive Nightclub hosts Junker Gifting Suite with Founder/designer Giuliana Mayo
Prive Nightclub inside Planet Hollywood was the place to be for fashionistas on Monday night, February 8 as Junker's founder and designer Giuliana Mayo was in the house presiding over the Junker Gifting Suite.

Junker Designs makes the killer clothes for every hot rockstar imaginable and Guiliana can rock girls as well as guys. On this particular night, there was lots of rockin going on at Prive with attendees showing their new dance moves to the delight of on lookers. Wine, champagne and vodka flowed to the beautiful people who paid as much as 500.00 for a table.
Speaking of the beautiful people, many of them being rock stars, Giuliana Mayo has dressed the biggest rockers in the business. Her clients include the likes of Marilyn Manson, Motley Crue, Christina Aguilera, Shakira and many of the WWE stars. Lenny Kravitz was her first customer. Mayo designed a denim vest for the unique singer.
While Mayo designs for some of the most famous male rock stars, she wants gals to know that they aren't left out. So, to promote that idea, drop dead, super sexy dresses from Junker Designs were handed out to the first twenty five females that walked into the super hot night spot. The awesome item of clothing designed by Giuliana is very short in the front and backless, with a funky train flowing from the back. It has the look that transforms any female into a rock goddess.

A rock n' roll attitude is part of the fabric of the designs, and of the company. This statement is on Junker's website. "At Junker, we make everything with our own grubby paws. We're from Texas and Florida, but we live in L.A.. We over dye, paint, mutate, bury or bleed on each and every piece. Our clothes are all one of a kind, made from denim, leather, whatever we can get our hands on. Junker is a car wreck. What's left is here for the taking.”
In a casual conversation with Giuliana, I found her to be an intelligent and talented woman who loved her art.
Asked which of the designs she liked the best, Giuliana stated it was an outfit she designed for a one-time girlfriend of Stephen Tyler. Adam Lambert's design was also a favorite.
There are a few rockers that Giuliana hasn't worked with yet but has her eyes on. Iggy Pop is one, while Patty Smyth is another who have Junkers in their future.
I became interested in how this bright young woman got involved in designs for rock stars. Ms. Mayo revealed "It just fell into my lap". The hot designer was going to college as a theater major. However, after the design gig "fell into her lap," theater fell by the wayside.
How does Ms. Mayo come up with her designs? She stated that sometimes clients come to her with a theme in mind. Sometimes they come with just an idea that Mayo turns into a sketch and then a garment.
The costumes for the Michael Jackson's "This Is It" tour were designed by Mayo and delivered the day Jackson died. As far as she knows 'they are setting in a warehouse somewhere.'
Keep your eye out for Junker Design fashions, as they are going to be hotter than hell for men and women.
