Social House Opens at TI

Two fabulous new restaurants recently opened on the Las Vegas strip and I was invited to experience what they have to offer. First, let me tell you about Social House, located inside TI (Treasure Island Hotel and Casino) atop the very unique and fabulous Tangerine nightclub. PURE Management Group, which operates the PURE Nightclub and the Pussycat Dolls Lounge, in its inaugural venture into fine dining, has created a very special upscale and trendy atmosphere and features a great Pan Asian menu from chef Joseph Elevado which is sure to be an experience enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.

The New York design firm of AvroKO has incorporated some interesting elements in wood and steel, which is not only artistic, but has meaning in its symbolism. Upon entering, one ascends a staircase with walls that resemble bank vault drawers. Mark Steele of PURE Management Group said, “In Asian tradition, walking through a bank vault is good luck, especially in gambling” and that they chose a jagged staircase instead of a spiral one because “evil spirits would chase you up a spiral staircase, but would find it difficult to follow you on a jagged one”. There were several areas with different design motifs, which include candles, birdcages and stacks of newspapers. I must say the design made for a pleasing, interesting and comfortable environment to spend an evening with family and friends.

We were treated to a delicious array of Pan Asian taste delights such as sushi, Ahi Tuna, California Rolls, Tamarind Short Ribs, Tatki and Tartar, Kobe Beef – Three Ways and our favorite of the evening was the Citrus Peel Miso Marinated Cod, which was spectacular.

Social House also offers beautiful outdoor terrace seating that overlooks the Strip and the Sirens of TI show with a convenient staircase down to enjoy the Tangerine Nightclub for some after dinner excitement.
