Jamaica Iberostar Hotel

Now that the Las Vegas summer is in full swing and it is time to hit a beach why not think about an Iberostar Hotel in the Caribbean. Iberostar is an all inclusive Hotel and they have them all around the world.

From June 24-28th II stayed at the Iberostar Rose Hall in Jamaica. Everything about it was first class. The hotel is located right on a beautiful beach in Montigo Bay. I spent my days snorkeling or sipping fruit drinks in the pool.  The sunsets were spectacular. It is quite a romantic setting.

I was there for The Caribbean Classic, a charity event that has put 600 computers in schools for the children of Jamaica. We had a celebrity golf event on an amazing golf course only 10 minutes from the hotel. One night we had a concert, another night Cedric The Entertainer and several other comics performed.  The hotel was also the setting for the 10 World Championship Thai Kick Boxing matches that were televised around the world.

There is so much to do in Jamaica, from scuba to horseback riding, and great shopping. Whatever resort activities you like the Iberostar has, or it was a short car ride away.

The Iberostar hosted the celebrities and all their guests in stlye. Every room has a personal butler. The food starts with buffet breakfast island fruit and amazing fresh squeezed juices (I counted 10 at breakfast) followed by the lobster served at lunch overlooking the beach along with the famous jerk chicken, which was truly wonderful. Entertainment during lunch is provided by a steel drum band, which I loved.

For dinner the Japanese steakhouse where they put on a show right at your table was lots of fun. Every meal I ate from Surf and Turf Restaurant , to Italian was first class. My hotel was adults only, no crying or loud kids to fray the nerves. But right next door on the beach Iberostar has a family hotel. I spent the day there with some of the celebrities who bought their children. This hotel was just as nice but with a family slant, lots of kid’s activities and a lazy river swimming pool. There is even a wonderful Bob Marley store to buy everything from clothes to music.

I know I had way too much fun to not go back next year. YAH MON!!!
