Tiffany & Co. at the Forum Shops inside Caesars Palace celebrated the globe-spanning extravaganza, Fashion’s Night Out, with a special event on Sept. 10. The premier jeweler paid tribute to fashion and style by offering guests a variety of festivities. Those in attendance were able to speak with a stylist to create chic looks with the Tiffany keys, enjoy refreshments and listen to the sounds of DJ Twin.

Phenom, a men's and women's apparel and accessory boutique, located in Town Square on the south end of Las Vegas Blvd. held a Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, September 25. The exclusive invite-only event included complimentary food and drinks with music provided by by DJ Chris Roxstar and entertainment by break dancers. The Las Vegas store is the first location to be launched by co-owners Peter and Tracy Horowitz and Barry and Debra Jacobson, who have over 25 years of experience in the retail business. The opening of the boutique also acts as the launching pad for visualist/artist Sean Danconia's “Stark Raving Mod” art work which is featured on a new clothing line showcased and available for purchase at Phenom.

Gospel sensation Kurt Carr and the Kurt Carr Singers headline the 2nd Annual Power 88 Super Soul Gospel Fest 2010 at the Henderson Pavilion, 200 S. Green Valley Parkway, on Saturday October 2. Vanessa Bell Armstrong, the legendary Keith Pringle and Elder Goldwire McLendon are also set to perform. Gates open at 12 p.m. with entertainment and activities until 8 p.m. Tickets start at $15.

Pfeffer will serve as the production supervisor for the four-performance tour of Macbeth featuring the Las Vegas Shakespeare Company, beginning October 2 at River Mountain Park, 1941 Appaloosa Drive.
The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino transforms into retro roller skating phenomenon Down & Derby, monthly from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. beginning Friday, Oct. 8. Partygoers are encouraged to dress the part by wearing their best throwback attire including neon spandex, headbands, wristbands, high socks, glitter and more. Down & Derby takes place monthly on Thursday, Friday or Saturday depending on The Joint concert schedule. Tickets are $15 and can be picked up at The Joint box office. Skate rental is available for $5. Guests are welcome to bring their own roller skates to the event.

Music groups at the College of Southern Nevada will stage a special concert Thurs., Oct. 14, to raise funds for the CSN/Joe Williams Music Scholarship Fund, which has assisted music students at the College since 1989. The CSN Choral program, under the direction of Dr. Mark Wherry, will feature the College Singers, the Chamber Chorale, and the Jazz Singers. A wide variety of works will be performed, including a salute to the Renaissance madrigal by the Chamber Chorale. Famed champion bull riding legend and country music singer Justin McBride headlines two special events at The Venetian and The Palazzo Las Vegas during the 2010 Professional Bull Riders World Finals. McBride will celebrate the release of his second album Justin McBride: Live at Billy Bob’s Texas with an album release party at Lagasse’s Stadium on Wednesday, October 20 from 10:30pm-2am and he will take center stage for a lively performance in The Venetian Showroom on Friday, October 22 at 10:30pm. The album release party at Lagasse’s Stadium on October 20 is FREE and open to the public and will feature drink specials paired with a memorable acoustic set by McBride. Food and beverage minimums apply for all seated areas.

Balenciaga has opened its first Las Vegas location at Crystals that offers their full line of women’s and men’s ready-to-wear clothing, shoes, jewelry and accessories. Balenciaga showcases its extensive collection in a 4,100-square-foot space located on Crystals’ second level near the Las Vegas Boulevard entrance.
Cher has announced that she will end her three year residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Saturday, February 5, 2011. Cher will have performed approximately 200 shows during the course of her three years at The Colosseum which began on May 6, 2008.
Four months after closing its doors the Ritz-Carlton at Lake Las Vegas, Dolce Hotels and Resorts was selected by Village Hospitality to take over the 349-room property. The international hotel operator, which has 27 properties in North America and Europe, plans to reopen the hotel in the first quarter of 2011.

Boyz II Men (Shawn Stockman, Wanya Morris and Nathan Morris) dropped in on Joey Fatone on Tuesday, Sept. 21 during his guest hosting duties at The Price is Right – Live at Bally’s Las Vegas.Surprising the contestant and audience, Fatone called the group out to help clue in the audience to the upcoming game. As the group began to yodel – a break from their R&B grooves – the gold curtain parted and revealed the fan favorite game Cliffhanger in which contestants try to guess the price of items, and each dollar away from the correct price sends the climber higher up the mountain.
