X Burlesque Celebrates 17th Anniversary With Star-studded Red Carpet and Surprise Announcements

X Burlesque celebrated an impressive 17-year anniversary on Thursday, May 23 at Flamingo Las Vegas. At the red-carpet affair, creators and producers Matt and Angela Stabile also announced a five-year extension and revealed the renaming of Bugsy’s Cabaret to X Burlesque Theatre at Bugsy’s Cabaret, where the iconic topless revue will continue to perform nightly.

X Burlesque dancers were joined on the red carpet by Matt and Angela Stabile, along with producer/manager Tiffany Mondell, choreographer/manager Anthony Cardella and choreographer Meeka Onstead. Local celebrities in attendance included cast members from sister shows X Country at Harrah’s Las Vegas, X Rocks at Bally’s Las Vegas, as well Anthony Cools, Ricardo Laguna, Murray SawChuck, Mike Tyler and Christopher Wayne of The Naked Magicians, the ladies of FANTASY and more.

The seductive show culminated in the announcement of a five-year extension of the award-winning production, which has been voted “Best Female Revue” in Las Vegas three years in a row by readers of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Provocative, daring and scintillating, X Burlesque brings adult fantasies to the stage in a bubbly production show led by a troupe of gorgeous dancers. Running as the city's hottest topless revue for 17 years, X Burlesque beauties bare their assets all while playfully interacting with the audience. With bits set to music by hot contemporary artists, numbers range from frisky to X-rated, hence the show's seductive name.

To commemorate his historic six-decade run, “Mr. Las Vegas” was surprised with a custom-made cake and joined on-stage for a champagne toast with Caesars Entertainment executives following the show. Alongside friends and family, an emotional Newton took the moment to raise his glass to guests in attendance and thank them “for all that you are, and all that you’ve been in my life, which is everything.”

Wayne Newton: Up Close and Personal” is performed Monday through Wednesday at 8 p.m. at Cleopatra’s Barge at Caesars Palace. On Thursday, May 9, hundreds of customers gathered at AMERICAN CONEY ISLAND at the D Las Vegas to celebrate the American staple’s 102nd birthday for “NICKEL DAY.” Offering five cent Coney Dogs – the original price when the restaurant opened in 1917 – the commemorative event sold an impressive 1,108 Coney Dogs from 11 a.m. – noon.  To add to the excitement, guests were greeted by co-owners and siblings Chris Sotiropoulos and Grace Keros, the D CEO Derek Stevens and ACI mascot Coney D. Family-operated since day one, American Coney Island was opened in Detroit, Michigan by Constantine "Gust" Keros, grandfather of Keros and Sotiropoulos.  American Coney Island has continued its tasty practices in Las Vegas by serving world-famous Coney Dogs at the D Las Vegas for seven years, its only location outside of Michigan. The beloved dish grew in popularity from the specially-seasoned, natural skin casing hot dog from Dearborn Sausage and its secret family “Coney Island Chili Sauce” recipe, which comes topped with mustard and chopped sweet onions.

CELESTIA, an all-new, one-of-a-kind immersive production experience, will debut at THE STRAT HOTEL, CASINO AND SKYPOD with previews that began on Saturday, May 11, and a grand opening set for Wednesday, June 5. Set within a celestial world that brings the journey of our protagonists to life through elite acrobatics and dance, aerial feats, live music, state-of-the-art technology and overwhelming imagination, Celestia showcases a talented troupe of more than two dozen multicultural performers to create an eye-popping, immersive experience. This tour de force of acrobatics, technology, artistry and imagination will perform eight shows a week in a unique 200,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art theatrical tent located along the Las Vegas Strip. Showtimes are 7 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays and 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. shows on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and is dark Mondays and Tuesdays. One of the world’s most distinctive singing voices, MICHAEL MCDONALD, will perform Inside The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas on Friday, Oct. 11 and Saturday, Oct. 12. The shows are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. Tickets starting at $39.95, plus applicable fees, go on sale to the general public Friday, May 24 at 10 a.m. PT. A limited number of VIP packages will also be available.Tickets will be available for purchase any box office at The Venetian Resort.

Nevada’s acclaimed water park, WET 'N' WILD LAS VEGAS, will celebrate its seventh season of fun in the sun with a colossal MEMORIAL DAY PARTY from Friday, May 24 – Sunday, May 26. Guests will kick off summer at the weekend-long party that will include a dive-in movie, foam party, DJs, live music, food and Wet’n’Wild’s iconic slides and attractions. The celebration will kick off on Friday, May 24. Guests will enjoy “Aquaman” under the stars, kicking off the dive-in movie season at the park. The dive-in movie is free with park admission and begins at 8 p.m. at the Red Rock Bay wave pool. The party will continue Saturday with a DJ playing top hits at 2 p.m. Children and adults alike will enjoy the family foam parties on Saturday and Sunday from 2-3 p.m. near the Red Rock Bay wave pool. For one day, Downtown Las Vegas embraces the Caribbean lifestyle with island-inspired food and craft vendors as well as live performances from top reggae artists such as headliners Sly & Robbie alongside legendary reggae superstar Mykal Rose as they perform the “Favored Sounds of Black Uhuru” andDon Carlos. Other performances include Yellowman, Alborosie, Jesse Royal, K’Reema and ST1.Doors open at noon and the event concludes at 11 p.m. General admission tickets start at $29.99, $35 day of show. THE LAS VEGAS MEN'S CHORUS will perform its NEW SPRING CONCERT, under the direction of Mr. Ryan Duff, esteemed educator and 2017 Heart of Education award recipient, at 4:00pm, Sunday June 16th, at The Whitney Library, 5175 E Tropicana near South Nellis Boulevard. The Chorus will sing arrangements of the most iconic songs from Disney Movie and Disney Broadway experiences. As part of its mission, the chorus will also be supporting Project 150, a local charity that providers assistance to local homeless teenagers, by organizing a donation drop off for teen appropriate food, hygiene products and other necessities.
