Magician Murray Celebrates his 100,000 You Tube Subscribers 

Magician Murray Sawchuck has garnered legions of fans from around the country who have seen him on numerous TV shows including America's Got Talent, as a recurring act on CW's Masters of Illusion, as a magic expert on the History Channel's Pawn Stars, and as a Las Vegas headliner, presently starring in his afternoon show at Planet Hollywood. Most recently he has taken the internet by storm with his own YouTube channel that has captured the attention of fans from all over the world with his clever and funny videos that he uploads every Wednesday.

To celebrate his 100,000 YouTube subscriber, Murray threw a party inside the Cabaret Lounge at Planet Hollywood on Wednesday evening, June 28.  
Over 175 people turned up at Murray's celebratory bash to wish him and his YouTube business partner Seth Leach congrats on his YouTube 100,000 Silver Creator Award that was presented to him recently in Los Angeles. Among the invited guests in attendance were several entertainers and celebrities including Murray's on stage sidekick/master slight of hand card trickster Doug “Lefty” Leverovich,  J.D. Scott (The Property Brothers), Dennis Roady (YouTube Star /Natural Born Pranksters - LionsGate Movie) Irwin 'The General' Raymer (Tanked), master impressionist/singer/comedian Gordie Brown, magic and music duo Jarrett and Raja, magician Tommy Wind with wife/stage assistant Stacy Wind, comedian Louis Anderson, comedy hypnotist Marc Savard, hypnotist Steve Falcon, magicians Bizarro, Mark Bennick and Ben Young, magician/Snake Babe Maria Gara, juggler Steven Lee August, mentalist Frederic DaSilva, comedian Joe Trammel, aeralist Delphine Gaillard, DJ Liz Clark, and producer Wade Martin,    During the party, musical entertainment was provided by a live band as guests mingled and enjoyed an assortment of cupcakes and sandwiches as well as soft drinks and libations from the bar.

Murray actually surpassed his 100,000 subscriber list in January 2017, 14 months after he and Seth Leach partnered on YouTube.  His list is now on it's way to over 155,000 subscribers.

At one point Murray took to the stage to thank everyone for coming to the party and for their continued support. He then stated, "I am humbled and honored by this award as we accomplished this in just over a year of starting our YouTube Channel. The response to our videos has been overwhelming!"  Murray also was thrilled to announce that he just extended his contract with Caesars Entertainment and Planet Hollywood for another year.

Murray returns on his 4th Season on CW's Hit Show Masters of Illusion airing 8pm. (PST) Friday, July 7. Murray is one of the headliners that continuously come back season after season to perform on the show. The July 7th episode will feature Murray doing a cute trick with a youngster from the audience named Phil and his drawing of Murray.


Victor Drai Receives Key to the Las Vegas Strip in Honor of 20th Anniversary of Drai's After Hours

In honor of the 20th anniversary of the legendary Drais After Hours, friends, family and invited guests gathered at Drai’s Beachclub-Nightclub atop The Cromwell on June 25,to congratulate celebrated nightlife entrepreneur Victor Drai as he received the Key to the Las Vegas Strip and was presented with a county proclamation declaring June 25 “Drai’s Day” in Las Vegas.

Commissioner Chris Giunchigliani took the stage to remark on Drai’s contributions to the ever-evolving nightlife industry and live entertainment scene in Las Vegas, the success and sustainability Drai’s After Hours has seen on The Strip – making it the longest-running nightlife brand in Las Vegas– and more. In addition to the Commissioner, other presenters included Drai’s After Hours general manager Marc Snanoudj, Drai’s Las Vegas managing partner Brian Affronti and president of Drai’s Management Group, Michael Gruber.

Following the presentation, Drai came on stage and thanked his wife Yolanda, son Dustin, and several friends and nightlife industry leaders in attendance for joining him in celebration of the milestone occasion. Throughout the party, guests sipped on champagne and enjoyed light bites while watching a special video montage highlighting the launch of the late-night venue in Las Vegas 20 years ago, sharing memories and laughs from late nights spent at After Hours.

After the reception, festivities continued late into the night at After Hours as Drai was presented with a key-shaped cake, accented with books inscribed with “Weekend at Bernie’s,” and special LED signs delivered by his son Dustin and a bevy of beautiful After Hours cocktail waitresses. Renowned DJs Kygo and Alesso were spotted attending the late-night party along with hundreds of guests who danced the night away to sounds provided by DJ Direct, DJ Shift, DJ Sev-One and others.

Physicians, nurses and staff members from Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada (CCCN) joined employees from WET’N’WILD Las Vegas on Sunday, June 25, for a SKIN  SAFETY THEMED FLASH MOB. The group focused on the proper way to apply and reapply sunscreen as they danced their way through the park to the Katrina and the Waves hit “Walking on Sunshine."

CCCN and Wet’n’Wild are now in the 4th year of their skin safety partnership. Other components of the partnership include free sunscreen for all guests (available at a colorful kiosk) and skin safety messaging located throughout the park.

Two kids from Las Vegas were chosen by JDRF, the leading global organization focused on type 1 diabetes (T1D) research, to join a delegation of children and celebrity advocates in Washington, D.C. this summer at JDRF 2017 CHILDREN'S CONGRESS, from July 24-26. Siblings Oakley Leavitt, 12, Erick Leavitt, 14, will join nearly 160 other children from around the U.S. to lobby their Members of Congress and remind them of the vital need to support T1D research that could reduce the burden of this disease and ultimately find a cure.

EL DORADO CANTINA, located next door to Sapphires Gentlemen's  Club, at  3025 Sammy Davis Drive, celebrated its 3RD ANNIVERSARY on June 27.  Invited guests were treated to tray passed signature dishes, a hosted bar and entertainment provided by a live mariachi band.

Tuesday, July 4: Red, White and YOU Ride
XCYCLE will host a Red, White and You ride in celebration of the Fourth of July. Saturday, July 8: Dan Cox at XCYCLE Las Vegas!
Dan Cox, known for his time spent on season nine of ABC’s “The Bachelorette” and season two of “Bachelor in Paradise,”  has partnered with XCYCLE to discuss all things health. “The Bachelor” star-turned-nutritionist will be at the boutique indoor cycle studio from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. to provide information on proper nutrients and supplements that cyclists should be taking before and after workouts.

Saturday, July 15: Community In Schools Ride
XCYCLE has partnered with Communities In Schools Nevada (CIS) to raise awareness and provide school supplies to students in need within the Las Vegas community. To participate in the charity ride that begins at 11:30 a.m. led by XCYCLE owner, Jen Barnet, riders are asked to donate $40 cash or $40 worth of school supplies. XCYCLE will be taking all donated items collected at the studio to Communities in Schools’ ‘Fill A Bus’ event on Friday, August 4. After the class is complete, riders will enjoy complimentary catering provided by Rachel’s Kitchen.

On behalf of the theatrical release of  The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature coming to theaters nationwide on August 11, City of Henderson has joined forces with Open Road Films to promote the importance of parks and the joy they can provide for kids as well as adults. The international comedy smash hit, THE MISSBEHAVE GAMESHOW opens at the recently-converted Back Room at Bally’s Las Vegas, Friday, July 7. In a show with no rules and where everyone’s a winner, The Miss Behave Gameshow is a one-stop-shop of an evening which will bring out the best and worst in us all with a host of prizes and variety acts - both occasionally of questionable quality - thrown in for good measure. The College of Southern Nevada Department of Fine Arts will host an exhibition of drawings and sculpture by New York artist and Oswego State University New York Assistant Professor of Art and Design, Benjamin Entner. BENJAMIN ENTNER: “CLASSICS” will begin Friday, July 7 and will run through Saturday, September 2, 2017. Entner’s artwork explores the boundaries and interplay between two and three-dimensional methods of art making. Mr. Entner will participate in a Preview, Artist Talk, and Artist Reception on Thursday, July 6, at 6 p.m. in room H120 on the North Las Vegas Campus. The CSN Fine Arts Gallery is FREE and open to the public. Gallery hours are from 9 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The Fine Arts Gallery is located at the half circle drive near CSN’s main entrance, on the North Las Vegas campus at 3200 E. Cheyenne Avenue, one-mile East of I-15 North.

The College of Southern Nevada Department of Fine Arts will also host an exhibition of abstract photographic landscapes by new media artist and DePaul University Associate Professor of Art, Media & Design, Jessica Larva. Larva’s artwork uses natural horizon lines composed of clouds and sky to re-contextualize space and stability. “JESSICA LARVA: LEEWARD” will begin Friday, July 7 and will run through Saturday, September 9, 2017. Ms. Larva will participate in a Artist Talk and Reception on Wednesday, September 6, at 6 p.m. in room N203 on the North Las Vegas Campus.The CSN Artspace Gallery is FREE and open to the public. Gallery hours are from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The Artspace Gallery is upstairs above the main entrance lobby on the North Las Vegas campus.

Rock legends BLONDIE and multi-platinum selling artists GARBAGE will co-headline the Rage and Rapture Tour at the Pearl Concert Theater inside Palms Casino Resort on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $59 plus tax and applicable fees.

Saxophonist RICHARD ELLIOT, trumpet player RICK BRAUN and guitarist NORMAN BROWN will come together to present a night of jazz hits in an exclusive “West Coast Jam” performance at The Foundry inside SLS Las Vegas on Saturday, July 8. SHAKE SHACK opens is fourth location in Southern Nevada on July 12. Majestic Rep continues its Summer Season with an immersive staging of Adam Szymkowicz's twisted dark comedy: CLOWN BAR. “As soon as you walk through the door, you’ll be transported to a different world,” said Artistic Director Troy Heard. “A world where a drink served funny just might include a rubber chicken instead of a twist of lime. Because the action happens all around the room, every audience member will be given a clown nose so they can be part of the gang.” And although these nefarious denizens wear colored wigs and oversized shoes, CLOWN BAR is definitely not recommended for young audiences.  Performances of CLOWN BAR will be July 13 through the 29th, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 5 p.m. Majestic Repertory Theatre performs at 1217 S. Main Street. General admission tickets are $25.

Classic rock duo AMERICA will perform on Saturday, July 15 at Star of the Desert Arena in Primm. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $20.

Country Music Hall of Fame artist KENNY ROGERS will perform hits from his legendary songbook Friday, July 21 at Park Theater at Monte Carlo Resort and Casino. Special guest LINDA DAVIS will open for the music legend. The show is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.  Tickets ranging in price from $39 to $150 (including applicable service charges or fees).

In a Las Vegas premiere event, the producers of the world’s biggest magic show, The Illusionists, have teamed up with the award-winning puppeteers from War Horse, to bring a thrilling turn-of-the-century circus spectacular to the Las Vegas Strip. Jointly promoted by Caesars Entertainment, Red Mercury Entertainment and Producing Group, CIRCUS 1903 –THE GOLDEN AGE OF CIRCUS will debut inside the Paris Theater at Paris Las Vegas July 25, 2017. Tickets begin at $49, plus all applicable taxes and fees.  CIRCUS 1903 – The Golden Age of Circus will perform in the Paris Theater at Paris Las Vegas Tuesday through Sunday at 7 p.m., with additional performances at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, and will be dark on Monday.

In the evening, Brian "Head" Welch, guitarist from multi-platinum Nu Metal rockers Korn, earned his wings at Vegas Indoor Skydiving.

NFL stars C.J. Spiller of the Kansas City Chiefs and Captain Munnerlyn of the Carolina Panthers took in the afternoon at separate VIP cabanas with friends during Beatwave Sundayat Marquee Dayclub in The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas  Later that day, Wiz Khalifa had dinner in the private dining room at TAO restaurant in The Venetian with a group of 15 people.

The Backstreet Boys took over Drai’s Beachclub atop The Cromwell in Las Vegas for an unforgettable Independence Day Weekend celebration featuring a thrilling set by resident artist DJ Franzen. Pop juggernauts AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, Kevin Richardson and Howie Dorough spent the afternoon celebrating the conclusion of the second leg of their sold-out Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino residency by partying poolside with fans at the rooftop oasis.  Drai’s LIVE resident artist Wiz Khalifa took part in the sky-high revelry, surprising partygoers by taking the stage later in the day. Actress Billie Lourd, daughter of the late Carrie Fisher, was also seen soaking up the sun alongside friend and fellow actor Austen Rydell at a private bungalow.

Recording artist Leona Lewis partied day and night at TAO in The Venetian Friday with friends. Taking in the afternoon from a VIP cabana at TAO Beach, Lewis celebrated the recent birthday of one of her friends. Later that day, the group started their night out with dinner at TAO restaurant before heading upstairs to the nightclub.  

Star of MTV's iconic "Jersey Shore," Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, joined a group of friends at top Las Vegas gentlemen's club, Crazy Horse III. Also in the group was adult film star, Nicolette Shea, and popular social media influencer, Toochi Kash.

Comedian T.J. Miller was spotted at 1 OAK Nightclub inside The Mirage Hotel & Casino where he joined the festivities for 2 Chainz’s album release party for Pretty Girls Like Trap Music.

Several athletes were also spotted at the Vegas hot spot, including former Baltimore Ravens running back, Jamal Lewis, Houston Texans safety, K.J. Dillon and Los Angeles Clipper, Raymond Felton.

Actress Mindy Kaling celebrated her birthday and the season end of “The Mindy Project” at TAO restaurant in The Venetian with writers from the show.

A handful of newly appointed Vegas Golden Knights players, including Jason Garrison, Brayden McNabb, among others, were spotted enjoying a night out at Hakkasan Restaurant and Nightclub inside MGM Grand Hotel & Casino.

Following dinner, resident DJ,  Steve Aoki  met with the players before the group headed into the club around 12:30 a.m.

Also spotted at the nightlife mecca was two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Shaun White and girlfriend Sarah Barthel. In town working on a new project, the duo joined Aoki in the DJ booth before his set.

Several NFL standouts were spotted at Drai’s Nightclub atop The Cromwell in Las Vegas during a full-concert performance by chart-topping hip-hop trio, Migos. The long list of pro athletes who were seen enjoying the late-night show include Arizona Cardinals linebacker Chandler Jones, who was celebrating the bachelor party of Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Calais Campbell with friends; Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Kamar Aiken and free agent David Carter, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones; Cincinnati Bengals corner Darqueze Dennard; Philadelphia Eagles safety Jaylen Watkins; Arizona Cardinals’ tight end Jermain Gresham and linebacker Deone Bucannon; Tennessee Titans wide receiver Harry Douglas; New York Giants defensive end Olivier Vernon; Baltimore Ravens free safety Eric Weddle; and Jacksonville Jaguars running back Chris Ivory. University of Oregon football standout and NFL hopeful Arrion Springs was also spotted enjoying the rooftop hotspot with friends.
