Terry Fator: The Voice of Entertainment Celebrates 7th Anniversary at the Mirage

America's Got Talent second season winner, master ventriloquist/impressionist/singer and comedian Terry Fator celebrated the 7th anniversary of his show Terry Fator: The VOICE of Entertainment at The Mirage, on Monday March 14.  During a pre-show celebratory reception, President and C.O.O. of The Mirage Trevor Scherrer announced to guests that the resort has extended Terry’s contract for another five years, through 2021. Among those in attendance were twin bothers Drew and Jonathan Scott from the hit television show Property Brothers and eldest Scott brother J.D. Scott.

Terry Fator: The VOICE of Entertainment showcases Fator’s unique talent of celebrity impressions through ventriloquism as he moves flawlessly and seemingly effortlessly through the cast while performing songs by Ricky Martin, Lady Gaga, Adele, Etta James, Willie Nelson, Tony Bennett, Michael Jackson, and others. He even throws in a little old school doo-wop.

Knowing how important it is to keep his show fresh for returning fans as well as new audiences, Fator has introduced a new character to the cast each year as well as adding some new material that includes timely and humorous pop culture references.  This year is no exception. In the newest version of his show the audience is introduced to Fator’s newest puppet character,  Latino heartthrob, Fernando V. Francisco.

Fernando (who may or may not be modeled after actor Antonio Banderas) is a suave and oh so slick, lover of beautiful women and beautiful songs, but mostly beautiful women. While you may think Fabio is a woman’s ultimate dream man, Fernando’s Latin roots prove irresistible with his romantic renditions of “Livin’ La Vida Loca,” “Hero” and “To All the Girls I’ve Loved Before.” If Julio Iglesias and The Most Interesting Man in the World conceived a love child, it would be the one and only Fernando V. Francisco.  He joins the lovable cast of characters including Rusty the Robot, Winston the Impersonating Turtle, Vikki “The Cougar,” country legend Walter T. Airdale, annoying neighbor/stoner dude Duggie Scott Walker, Apollo Theater legend Julius, red head teen with the big voice Emma Taylor, the “World’s Greatest Elvis Impersonator” Maynard Thompkins and Wrex the Crash Test Dummy, among others, each with a distinct identity and vocal prowess.

Puppet sidekicks aside, Fator is also a gifted solo singer and gets to showcase his own powerful singing voice without the use of one of the many characters he so brilliantly brings to life. Towards the end of every performance, backed only by his fantastic live band, Fator pays tribute to the men and women of the U.S. military by performing a solo of the song he wrote, “Heroes,” from his 2013 album, It Starts Tonight.

Simply put, Terry Fator is multi gifted entertainer in a class all his own, continually delivering the goods nightly for his audiences.  He is an amazing talent that seems to get better and better.   But don't take my word. Go check out his show for yourself and see why he is The VOICE of Entertainment.

“We are thrilled that so many people came down and supported Spread the Word Nevada by flying on Slotzilla,” said Bruny. “We had an extremely successful day and ended up setting the largest weekday SlotZilla Charity Challenge record with $17,244. All of that money will go to this terrific organization that is dedicated to advancing early childhood literacy by placing books into the hands and homes of children within Southern Nevada’s at-risk, low income communities.
