The Scintas Launch New Residency at The Plaza Hotel & Casino

Las Vegas’ first family of entertainment, the multi-talented The Scintas, launched their legendary and critically acclaimed music and comedy show inside the Plaza Hotel & Casino's  iconic showroom for a limited engagement on Friday, Feb. 19.

Prior to kicking off their residency, a welcoming reception was held  on February 17 at former Mayor Oscar Goodman's Oscar’s Beef, Booze and Broads Steakhouse where The Scintas were presented with a proclamation from Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman declaring February, “The Scintas Month”.

“The Scintas make the flame that made Las Vegas the entertainment capital of the world burn more bright. They invoke what Las Vegas used to be and what it should be again,” said Oscar Goodman.

In accepting the honor, Frankie said: “If we make you smile, make you laugh, my job is done”.

Bothers Frankie and Joe Scinta, “honorary Scinta” Peter O’Donnell and newest addition,  powerful vocalist Janien Valentine are enormously talented and entertain audiences with their refreshing wit, and great music. Having performed for hundreds of thousands of people over the years, the Scintas have become a fixture in Las Vegas for the past 16 years with their signature rollicking humor, musical prowess, and knack for spot-on impressions that include George Burns, Neil Diamond, James Brown and Mick Jagger.

Their show spans several generations blending classic music of all styles from musical icons such as Dean Martin, Ray Charles, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Bruno Mars with relatable humor that leaves the audience feeling like they’re hanging out with family.

“The Scintas are the epitome of classic Las Vegas entertainers and a perfect fit for the Plaza’s vintage showroom and atmosphere,” said Jonathan Jossel, CEO of the Plaza Hotel & Casino. “A unique mix of music and comedy, their show spans the decades and appeals to everyone. We are honored to have the Scintas performing at the Plaza and are excited to offer our guests, especially locals, the chance to enjoy a old-style Las Vegas experience with a gourmet dinner at Oscar’s, the Scintas’ fantastic show, and the opportunity to end the night hanging out with Frankie in Oscar’s lounge after the show. I have no doubt that it will make for an unforgettable night downtown.”

Staged in the International Theater at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino (the same room where Elvis gave his most legendary performances), the show is fast paced, funny, edgy, and  yes, abundantly twisted, with a  cast that includes some of Las Vegas’ and France’s most fascinating performers, from hilarious hand balancing and acrobatics by The Kristef Brothers to jaw-dropping impersonations of Celine Dion and Britney Spears by Costic, to amazing aerial artistry by Katya and so much more.

“I’ve been to every show and was able to see the great talent in Vegas, but when a visitor comes here they probably won’t have the opportunity to experience all the shows Vegas has to offer, so I created Twisted Vegas. This show will shake up the status quo and replace it with a new take on the city’s favorite acts, plus a lot of never-before-seen ones, and put them all in one live show.” said Goude, writer, director and producer of Twisted Vegas.

Twisted Vegas performs one show nightly Tuesday – Saturday at 7 p.m. Dark on Monday. Tickets are available for purchase and start at $45 plus tax and fees.
