7th Annual US Marine Corps “Toys For Tots”  Celebrity Benefit Show

The 7th Annual U.S. Marine Corps Toys For Tots Benefit Concert to help Las Vegas children have a Merry Christmas, took place on Friday, December 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Orleans Showroom. The star-studded holiday themed concert was sponsored by Cadillac of Las Vegas, produced by LJ Harness and David Perrico, and featured some of Las Vegas' most dynamic and popular performers under the musical direction of Perrico (who also acted as the event's host) and his Pop Strings Orchestra.

The amazing lineup of performers that participated in the fantastic evening of entertainment included British born comedian and former Benny Hill writer, Lenny Windsor, who warmed up the audience with his hilarious, snarky humor.  Next up was Michael Jackson impersonator, an 11 year old girl named Natalia Faircloth, who had all moves, impression, and lip syncing down pat to a few of Jackson's greatest hits. She was followed by Naomi Mauro the powerhouse lead singer with David Perrico and his Pop Strings Orchestra performing Jessie J's Bang Bang.  Elvis impersonator Justin Shandor, performed If Every Day Was Christmas. Bobby Brooks Wilson. The son of legendary singer Jackie Wilson performed his father's hit, Higher and Higher.  Singer/songwriter Chadwick Johnson sang Home for Christmas. Zowie Bowie's Chris Phillips belt out Jingle Bells.  Comedy impressionist/singer Gordie Brown did an array of impressions.  Motown tribute artists/vocal quartet These Guys sang some hits by the Temptations and Four Tops. Gene “Poo Poo” Anderson brought his funk sounds to the stage. Anne Martinez sang Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.  Naomi Mauro performed Madonna's Papa Don't Preach. Vintage Vegas throwback performers Art Vargas and Laura Shaffer sang There's No Business Like Show Business and Walking in a Winter Wonderland.  Eric Sean sang Bruno Mars' Uptown Funk as Sexxy's Jennifer Romas and Alexandra joined him with a dance routine and Naomi and Eric performed a duet of “Crazy”.

In addition to the aforementioned song and dance numbers, the high energy show featured a bit of magic and other fun moments including a visit from a surprise Santa. Celebrity magician Murray SawChuck, along with Lefty and Murray's new assistant/dancer April dug into their bag of tricks and performed a couple of illusions that wowed the audience.  Journalist John Katsilometes read a very funny,“Top 10 Facts About People In The Show” and Robert DeNiro impersonator/comedian Robert Nash read “ A Wiseguy's Night Before Christmas” that had everyone laughing out loud.

Before closing out the show LJ Harness paid tribute to The Marine Corp, for all their work in collecting toys for underprivileged, needy children at Christmas, and thanked all the armed forces for their service to this country.  Then several members of the Marine Corp were bought on stage as Neil Diamond tribute artist Rob Garett performed the patriotic song, Coming to America.

Last year Cadillac of Las Vegas raised more $200,000 for local underprivileged children. This year's celebrity benefit event proved to be a big success thanks to all those who participated in this worthy cause, which was all about putting smiles on young faces.

Admission to the concert was $20 but beginning in early November, supporters who dropped off a donation of new unwrapped toys worth $20, or greater value, at Cadillac of Las Vegas located at 5185 W Sahara Ave, were given a free ticket to the performance.

Three-time Grammy Award-winning reggae and hip-hop crossover artist WYCLEF JEAN, who broke onto the music scene with The Fugees, alongside Lauryn Hill and Pras, is making his debut performance at Brooklyn Bowl at The Linq on Friday, Jan. 8 at 9 p.m.  Doors open at 8 p.m. This show is for ages 18 and up. Three of the world’s most esteemed Elvis tribute artists will return to The Orleans Showroom on Jan.9 and 10 for a special performance commemorating the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.

 “ONE NIGHT WITH THE KING” brings leading impersonators Brandon Bennett, Bill Cherry and KAVAN together to celebrate the spirit and musical career of Elvis Presley. The singers will be accompanied by some of Las Vegas’ leading musicians and dancers to amplify the one-of-a-kind Vegas-style performance.

THE WORLD FINANCIAL GROUP CONTINENTAL CUP OF CURLING returns to the Orleans Arena Jan. 14-17. Team North America will take on Team World in a variety of curling disciplines, including traditional team games, mixed doubles and skins. During the opening ceremonies of the 2016 tournament, six Southern Nevada residents will be invited to try their hand at curling with “The Orleans Curl for Club Seats” contest. The winner of the contest will earn a pair of Club Seats to every publicly-ticketed event at the Orleans Arena for the remainder of 2016. Single draw tickets start at $20, plus taxes and fees.


Singer, writer and entertainer MARY WILSON from the legendary Motown trio, The Supremes, returns to the Suncoast Showroom Jan. 16-17.

Friday night, December 18...

Kennedy of E! News started the weekend at LAVO Italian restaurant.  Following dinner, the group headed upstairs to check out the scene at LAVO Casino Club.

Also spotted at LAVO Casino Club  was celebrity chef and television personality Chef Ming Tsai.

Actor Billy Zane (Titanic) made his first-ever appearance at the nightclub.  He was there to celebrate the birthday of a friend.

Saturday night, December 19.

Jason Kennedy of E! News was spotted celebrating his 34th birthday weekend with dinner at TAO Asian Bistro at The Venetian with a group of friends. Afterwards, then went upstairs to the nightclub where the television host was presented with a cake while taking in the sounds of DJ Eric D Lux.

Also at TAO Asian Bistro was Ashley Benson of the hit TV show Pretty Little Liars celebrating her 26th birthday with a group of friends. Following dinner, the birthday girl’s group headed upstairs to join Kennedy’s group in the nightclub where the TAO staff led a joint birthday presentation and she danced the night away at her VIP table.

Tom Felton, also known as Draco Malfoy from Harry Potter, was  spotted at TAO Asian Bistro  celebrating his brother’s 21st birthday.After dinner, the group made their way upstairs to the nightclub where the TAO staff welcomed Felton's brother with a special birthday announcement while they took in the scene from their VIP table.

Perez Hilton was also spotted at Tao Asian Bistro on Saturday evening enjoying dinner with friends.
