Prior to the show there was a reception was held at Rice & Company, where guests noshed on the Fantasy Roll, Seared Ahi Tuna, Pan-Fried Pot Stickers and Singapore Noodles while sipping signature cocktails. The night continued in the Atrium Showroom with the introduction of new numbers including, “Bang Bang.” Lead singer, Jaime Lynch, impressed the audience with her beauty and powerhouse vocals, while Sean E. Cooper made sure there was no shortage of laughter.

Before the curtain went up and the show kicked into gear, Luxor COO Renee Lewis arrived on stage to say that she was thrilled to be celebrating the 15th anniversary of Fantasy.  Lewis was then joined by Fantasy's Producer Anita Mann whom she presented with a bouquet of pink roses. Mann stated that the number 15 holds a very special meaning for her adding that she got married just eight days after the show debuted 15 years ago and now has 15 grandchildren.

Malina Moye, one of the world’s top female guitarists known for infusing rock and soul into her funky jams, was presented with a memorabilia case at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas on Thursday, Nov.6.

“I am extremely honored and proud to be a part of Hard Rock history and to be in the company of so many great artists,” she said, surrounded by friends and family. “Thank you so much for making me feel like I belong and rock ‘n’ roll isn’t just a man’s club!”

The case features the guitar she played during the 2010 Cowboys/Vikings game where she was the first African-American female to perform the National Anthem on a guitar at a major sporting event. Also in the case sits the jersey and boots she wore during the performance as well as a video of the performance playing inside the case. The display is located in the HRH All-Suite Tower lobby.
Moye has opened for performers such as Journey and Robin Thicke and was the only female guitarist on the 2012 Hendrix Experience tour. She has scored several hit records including her most recent single, K-yotic featuring Bootsy Collins which hit No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. As well as being an African-American female guitarist, Moye rocks out on her guitar by playing left handed. Her new album, Rock & Roll Baby is available now.

Rock 'n' roll royalty KISS makes Maverick Helicopters arrival at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino to kick off KISS Rocks Vegas residency at The Joint

Band members Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer were welcomed by more than 1,000 screaming, costumed and face-painted fans as they cheered in excitement for the epic aerial arrival. While outside, KISS posed alongside the helicopter for photos with Hard Rock Hotel’s Chief Operating Officer Jody Lake and Vice President of Entertainment Chas Smith; AEG Live Las Vegas’ Vice President John Nelson and Vice President of Booking Bobby Reynolds; the “Roadie for a Week” winners Master Sergeant Jason Borkuis of Nellis Air Force Base, Sergeant First Class Cory DeMille of the U.S. Army Reserve and Technical Sergeant Richard Reichert of Nellis Air Force Base; and the combat-wounded hero recipient of the newly-renovated, mortgage-free home John Hosea and his wife Sarah. The band then headed inside the music venue to kick off their sold-out show.

“Vegas! You wanted the best, now you’ve got the best,” yelled Stanley as he, Simmons, Singer and Thayer hit the stage, kicking off the first, sold-out show of the residency that evening.. Concertgoers screamed in amazement as the foursome rocked out an amazing set list including fan favorites “Detroit Rock City,” “Love Gun” and “Lick It Up.” In true KISS fashion, the band’s production was unlike anything The Joint has seen before. The setup featured large LED screens spread across the ceiling and down to the floor, crazy pyrotechnics, lasers and more. The crowd was amazed as Simmons breathed fire and spewed blood from his mouth, Stanley flew across the venue and performed on hanging, balcony-side platforms, and Thayer shot out fireworks from his guitar.

Before starting the encore, KISS furthered their commitment to helping veterans by coming back on stage with Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Military Warriors Support Foundation and Chase Bank to present retired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant John Hosea and his wife Sarah a newly-renovated, mortgage-free home in Las Vegas. Hosea is a combat-wounded hero who enlisted in the military in 2001 and has received many awards including the Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman Badge, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, five Army Achievement Medals, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and more. The band and crowd honored him by saying “The Pledge of Allegiance” and broke out into a “USA” chant.

KISS ended the show with their biggest hit “Rock And Roll All Nite” as confetti poured over elated fans and filled the 4,500-person venue.

Two days later, Clark County Commission declared Friday, Nov. 7,  KISS Rocks Vegas Day in honor of  the band's nine-show residency at The Joint.

Upcoming performances for KISS Rocks Vegas at The Joint are November 12, 14 – 15, 19, 22 – 23. Tickets, starting at $49.50 (plus applicable service fees)
