The Scintas Celebrate Their Debut at The D Las Vegas

The Scintas celebrated the Grand Opening of their new show in the newly renovated, intimate showroom at the D Las Vegas on Wednesday night, May 22.

There is reason The Scintas, originally from Buffalo, New York, are called Las Vegas's first family of entertainers. Brothers Frankie and Joe Scinta, along with their “adopted” sibling,  drummer Peter O'Donnell, continue to dazzle audiences with their passionate and energetic performances every time they hit the stage.

I've seen the multi talented Scinta's perform several times at different venues and they never fail to deliver an evening of top notch, upbeat entertainment that includes music and song, comedy antics and impressions.  For their new show, they've put together a mix of Scinta favorites alongside new material and musical elements as well as a new horn section added to their back up band.

Frankie plays numerous instruments, sings, and does unforgettable impressions of entertainment icons Sammy Davis Jr, Tom Jones, Ray Charles, Dean Martin, Lou Rawls, and even Kermit the Frog.

Joe plays bass guitar and has the audience in stitches getting in character as  Jerry Lewis's Nutty Professor, complete with fake buck teeth and eyeglasses. He also does hilarious impressions of a strutting Mick Jagger and Joe Cocker with his spastic arm movements and gravelly voice.

Joining the Scintas for their new show at the D is powerhouse singer Janien Valentine, stepping in for Frankie and Joe's younger sister Chrissi, who is taking a break as the featured star vocalist due to major throat problems.  Chrissi is surely missed, but the striking Janien does a splendid job lending her own formidable stage presence and vocal talents to the great show.

Add to the mix Frankie and Joe's spontaneous and fun interactions with the audience and you have one of the best, feel good shows in Las Vegas.  Guaranteed, you'll leave the theater with a big smile on your face.

“We have been waiting a long time to have a place to call home and are excited to be moving downtown to the D,” said Frankie Scinta.

“The Scintas show is exactly what we have been looking for to be our headlining act at the D,” said Owner and CEO Derek Stevens, “Their show reminds audiences of old-school Las Vegas and seamlessly fits into the vintage theme on our second floor.”

The Scintas perform at the downtown property Wednesday – Sunday at 9 p.m. three weeks per month as part of the exciting entertainment lineup at the D. Show tickets start $39.95. For $99, guests are invited to enjoy a special dinner and show package, which includes a three-course gourmet meal at  Joe Vicari's Andiamo Italian Steakhouse.
