Immediately after the spectacular production, guests were escorted to HAZE Nightclub at ARIA Resort & Casino for an exclusive after party celebration.  Restaurant partners from CityCenter and ARIA provided samplings of delicious food as Zarkana characters welcomed everyone and mingled among the crowd at the upscale nightclub.During its triumphant 2011-2012  international run Zarkana was seen by more than 1.5 million people before moving to its permanent home inside the Aria at CityCenter.

The 90 minute show is a visually dazzling stage spectacular that blends circus arts with the surreal to create a fantasy world where physical virtuosity rubs shoulders with the strange.

The show follows Zark, the ringmaster of an extraordinary circus coming back to life, as he guides us in an abandoned theatre populated by a motley collection of off-the-wall characters and extraordinary acrobats. Among other attractions, he introduces the Mutants and four sirens as sinister as they are fabulous.

In typical Cirque fashion, an unknowing audience member gets pulled on stage by the clowns of Zarkana during the Electric Chair act.  Jennette McCurdy, star of Nickolodeon's iCarly, was chosen for the cameo appearance at the Las Vegas premiere. As the clowns strapped her into the electric chair the light switch flipped multiple times to make ‘magic’ happen on stage.

Zarkana performs two show nightly, 7:00 p.m. & 9:30 p.m Friday – Tuesday. Dark on Wednesday and Thursdays. Tickets start at $69 (not including taxes).

Sin City Comedy Opens at Planet Hollywood

Highly acclaimed Sin City Comedy, which combines world-class stand up comedy with sinfully sexy burlesque, made its home at the Sin City Theatre inside Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino beginning Oct. 25.

Two time winner of the coveted “Best of Las Vegas Award,” Sin City Comedy features a rotating lineup of today’s top comedians, all recognizable from appearances on Comedy Central, VH1, HBO,The Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Conan, The Late Late Show and more. The comedy show’s burlesque twist dates back to the 1840s, when comedy and burlesque went hand and hand.

During media night, the lineup of comedians were funny lady Kathleen Dunbar, tackling subjects from aging to sex in a no-holds barred fashion; David Lucas, who combines light hearted comedy with juggling tennis rackets, golf clubs and machetes; Pat Godwin, a clever, quick witted comedian, singer/musician whose song parodies and off the wall impersonations of some of the top music icons are guaranteed to tickle your funny bone. The sexy and talented burlesque dancers are featured separately in between comedy acts and they include a fan dancer, an extremely athletic pole dancer and a dancer whose sensual routine is centered around a chair shaped as a high heal.

She tried her luck with the hotel and asked for a night in the suite. They complied, making the Lund’s story the sweetest Veterans Day gift a military member could receive.
