11-11-11 Big Date For Vegas Weddings

In Las Vegas, we talk about odds.  So, what are the odds that last week’s brides and grooms will ever forget their anniversary?  Slim to none.  The Chapels were booked to capacity on 11-11-11 with couples from all over the  country and beyond who flocked to Vegas for their nuptials on this special day.  And beyond the repetitive digits, it was Veterans Day as well.

According to statistics from the Clark County marriage Bureau, the day is second only to 7-07-07 for marriage licenses.

John and Rebecca

My husband Burt and I arrived home from a trip to Jamaica in the last hours of November 10.  Jet lag and all,  we were off to a wedding at the Bellagio on 11-11-11.   And just guess what time Rebecca and John got married.  Easy one, right -- 11 p.m.  This is Vegas, so Elvis gave the bride away on a terrace with the beautiful dancing waters as a backdrop.

Elvis, Rebecca and John

We wish Rebecca and John and all the other couples who tied the nuptial knot that day  the very best and know that we’ll never forget their anniversary either.
