Wes Winters at South Point is Great Entertainment

Some of the best entertainment in town happens off the strip. Wes Winters, a talented performer with more than 25 years of professional experience, is at the New Grandview Lounge at the far south end of South Point every Thursday and Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. No cover, no minimum. And on Fridays, there are great $2 drink specials. If you haven’t seen Wes, check him out. If you saw his Liberace Tribute show, or his shows at the SunCoast, Sam’s Town or Sun City Anthem, then you already know you’ll enjoy him at South Point.

Wes’ repertoire includes everything from Blueberry Hill to Phantom of the Opera. This Kansas native is an incredibly talented self taught piano player with a pleasing voice and plenty of charisma. He is likeable, personable, and gifted. He plays Gershwin, sings rock n roll, struts his stuff, and obviously enjoys performing. The lounge works well with its low stage, putting Wes closer to the audience. This is a one man lounge show, built around his acclaimed vocals, award winning piano, and unique showmanship.

Do you want to hear Lucille, Mabelline, and Great Balls of Fire? You can even dance in an area on either side of the stage. If you have a request, odds are he knows the song or music. His wide range of music includes something for most every crowd. Wes is a great guy, off stage or on. His talent and personality have inspired a throng of groupies that show up wherever he performs. The 150 seat lounge features Wes’s nine foot mirrored concert grand piano.

Michael Gaughan’s South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa is a popular destination for both locals and tourists located at 9777 Las Vegas Blvd South. The Grandview Lounge is located at the southern end of the casino floor next to the Race and Sports Book area. 21 years old and older is required. For more information, call 702-796-7111. Better yet, stop by South Point on Thursday or Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and you’re sure to become a fan of Wes Winters. I am.
