The San Gennaro Feast, held twice yearly in the Las Vegas area, is a cornucopia of food and fun. Despite the threat of rain, we headed for the Feast at the Grand Canyon Shopping Center located at 4245 Grand Canyon Drive and West Flamingo Road to attend the Feast on opening night, September 10, Luckily the precipitation did not come and we were able to sample the food and enjoy the entertainment.
Although attendance was light due to the threat of rain, plenty of families still turned out to take the rides, win the prizes, and enjoy the culinary offerings and entertainment.
The food, as always, was plentiful and varied. Spaghetti and meatballs is of course part and parcel of the Feast, but there are many unique foods for sale. You can order spagetti and meatballs or get your meatballs on a stick. You can also dine on artichokes on a stick as well as sausage or corn. One of my favorites is the calamari. The list goes on with sausage, italian beef, and philadelphia cheese steak. Hey it is a food fest.
