The Bourbon Room at the Venetian is one of those unexpected pleasures. If you loved the 80's, you can take a trip back to the music and clothing of those times. We discovered this hidden treasure on media night for the Broadway hit musical “Rock of Ages.” The pre-show reception was held in the Bourbon Room not far from the theater.
If your answer to “What do you want to do?” is “I Wanna Rock ” then this is the place for you. Special bourbon drinks and entertainment surrounds you. It “Ain't Nothin But a Good Time” there.
The room was inspired by the Sunset Strip Club in the Broadway hit, “Rock of Ages”. The servers double as entertainment periodically putting down their trays and serving up the sounds and moves of the '80's.Enjoy the nostalgia of the 80's rock music as videos transport you back to a vibe from a time gone by.
In the Bourbon Room, you can sling back a shot from a choice of 28 different bourbons on the Angel Share Reserve Menu. This includes two single-barrel signature bourbons, Eagle Rare and Woodford Reserve, made specifically and exclusively for the Bourbon Room. The more nostalgic can take a trip back into the ‘80s and enjoy Bartles & Jaymes flavored wine coolers.
Remember “I Love Rock n' Roll” by Joan Jett, or “Nothin' But a Good Time” by Poison? Then this is the spot for you before or after “Rock of Ages” – or maybe both. Get ready for the show with a drink. See “Rock of Ages” and then drop back for a little more fun as the servers deliver some high energy dance routines. Here's a spot where you can sing along to the music you remember. Or clap along with the enthusiasm of the others surrounding you.
The piece du resistance is Marvelous Mark, an over the top character who acts as a cheerleader who keeps the fun going and the energy up. The Bourbon Room is the perfect spot for a warm up drink prior to seeing the hit musical"Rock of Ages" at the Venetian. Or, drop by to take your own trip back in time. It rocks.
The Bourbon Room is located adjacent to the casino near the Sports Book not far from the theater where you see " Rock of Ages"and is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily. It closes at 4 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
You never know who you'll find at the Bourbon Room. Is this De Niro? Nope it is none other than Robert Nash, a De Niro comedy impressionist and cast member of Rack N Roll.
