South Point Stakes are Running on Thursdays
If you want to experience a new slot machine experience, visit South Point the first two Thursdays in August. South Point Casino has recently purchased Bally Technologies award winning iView system and is using it to create a new gaming experience.

So here is how it works - A player wins an entry by earning just 25 slot credits prior to a race. Then they visit their favorite slot machine, insert their players card and watch while a simulated race appears on the screen. Players pick one of eight horses and wait for post time. An announcer calls the minute long race with all the fervor that you hear in a regular horse race.

The action will take place on August 2 and 9 at 4, 6, 8, and 10 PM. The total prize pool is $30,000. I participated in the action last week and really had a lot of fun. Maybe I’ll pick a winner next week.
Accoring to Michael Gaughan, ower of the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa, "We have always positioned ourselves to be at the forefront of gaming technology, and we are confident we will continue to build our player loyalty with this investment while offering our guests something completely new to the market."South Point has invested a great deal of money to purchase and install the Bally’s software. The system is truly unique and flexible. I’m sure the simulated race event is just the first of many new gaming experiences for South Point customers. Don’t miss the inaugural running. You could be a winner!
