Appropriately titled, Sexxy features an all female cast led by the show's creator, talented choreographer/dancer Jennifer Romas who is joined on stage by several amazing hot and gorgeous female dancers and powerhouse vocalist Gabriela Versace.  Adorned in  tantalizing, seductive costumes that reveal their feminine attributes, the lovely ladies take audience members through a journey of steamy, fun and enticing vignettes that incorporates the top ten most popular erotic fantasies, encompassing several music genres. As an added treat, the dancers occasionally come into the audience for an interactive guest experience.

No matter what the temperature is outside, Sexxy heats up the showroom and raises the body temperature of everyone in the audience.  Congratulations goes out to Jennifer Romas for creating and putting together an entertaining, high energy show that lives up to its name and then some with its curvaceous, beautiful dancers, and titillating, well choreographed dance numbers.

“Sexxy will arouse a standing ovation in one way…or another,” said Jennifer Romas. “The show is “sexxy,” sassy with a bit of edge and is sure to please everyone. My cast is amazing…they are brilliant and “sexxy” in their own right.”

She is currently the solo dancer in Purple Reign: THE Prince Tribute Show, also performing at Westgate’s Shimmer Cabaret, and is the owner of JRR Enterprises LV.

“In a city where topless entertainment is prevalent, we believe Sexxy will distinguish itself as a must-see show of this type in Las Vegas,”said Rick White, Vice President of Entertainment at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.

The event took place inside the Inspire Theatre in downtown Las Vegas and featured acclaimed producer/choreographer/dancer Anita Mann, “Steve Wynn's Showstoppers” singer Nicole Kaplan, comedy magician Mac King, Smith Center President Myron Martin,  singer/impressionist Bob Anderson, and entertainment journalist Robin Leach, that took their turn to walk onto an empty stage with nothing but a microphone. Given 15 minutes to speak, each of the celebrites offered up awe inspiring stories about their life and career.

Anita Mann EntSpeaks 65854

Emmy award winning producer/choreographer Anita Mann kicked off the evening's event. The way she tells it, “I started as a dancer in Detroit putting bottle caps on the bottle of my shoes because I always wanted to dancer and make noise,”  Anita went on to talk about how at age 17 she auditioned at CBS studios in Los Angeles and got her first job as a dancer.  Gifted with the talent to create dance moves, one thing led to another in her becoming a sought after choreographer.  In her rise to fame, Mann's vast resume includes choreographing all of Elvis's films, working with Jerome Robbins in the national tour of West Side Story where she was cast as the tomboy, performing on TV shows such as Shindig and choreographing all of Jim Henson's Muppet films.  After working on the TV dance show Solid Gold, when it went off the air in 1986, she invested her life savings of $250,000 in producing the show “Blast from the Past” which opened at the Riviera. These days, along with 15 years of marriage and 15 grandchildren, Mann's attention has been on Fantasy, the topless revue at the Luxor, that recently celebrated its 15 year anniversary.  As the show's creator, producer and choreographer, Mann said, “Every night, I see the Fantasy girls perform.  This is what fulfills me as a woman and as a producer/choreographer.”

Mac King EntSpeaks 65872

Next was Kentucky born comedy magician Mac King, recently named Magician of the Year at The Magic Castle in Hollywood, who has performed his family friendly afternoon show at Harrah's for 15 years. Mac said his grandfathers were his two earliest influences. At the age of five, one taught him his first trick using a handkerchief and a kitchen knife and later on the other giving him magic books. When he and his family moved to Louisville, it was there at age 14 that he walked into a novelty store and was told about a meeting of magicians. Dropped off by his mother, he entered a basement filled with old men doing magic and one other teen, 16 year old Lance Burton, who became his buddy. They started working together, exchanging ideas and eventually each branched out on their own.  During the years of working in comedy clubs, King stumbled upon his own philosophy; figure out what he wanted to accomplish, plan, and make and that was to turn his own show into an event. The way to accomplish that was to add audience participation and learn how to pick the right people. That, along with his gift of magic, comedy and easy going, boyish, friendly stage presence are what consistently draws audiences to his popular, successful show.

Myron Martin EntSpeaks 65876

Smith Center CEO & President Myron Martin started as a normal kid who liked “cake”.  To prove it, the audience was shown an image of him as a youngster projected on the back of the stage.  He also liked to entertain.  After his dad bought him a hammond organ, he learned how to play and went to music school. Martin said he loved baseball,  joked about “playing”  for one season with the Texas Rangers and two with the Atlanta Braves. By playing, he actually meant he was their organist.  In New York he met Liberace who brought him to Las Vegas to run the Liberace Museum and Foundation. One thing led to the next which led to “living my dream, to design, build and operate the 8th greatest performing arts center in the world.” What seemed like an impossible dream to raise $470 million became a reality with the help of Mayor Oscar Goodman who took Martin to Florida to where they saw the performing art center there. We said, “This is what Las Vegas needs”.

Martin spoke about how he felt he had a guardian angel and how there were a lot of coincidences in his life that made an impact. For example,  while judging a Miss Texas America Pageant he met the woman who would become his wife, Dana, a former Miss Texas who also was on that panel.  Also, at the Gala Opening Night event for The Smith Center, John Fogerty sang Proud Mary. Coincidence or not, Mary is the first name of the late Mrs. Smith, who, with her husband were the generous benefactors of the Smith Center that carries their name.

Nicole Kaplan Fenton EntSpeaks 65894

The blonde and petite Nicole Kaplan began her allotted time by saying, “This is my very first speech. I say other people's words for a living.  She then focused on (jokingly) how it took her 20 years to become an “overnight success” and proceeded to list the “must dos” as follows:

#1. Date a celebrity, which Kaplan did by agreeing to go out for dinner with diminutive actor Gary Coleman who was interested in rubbing her feet.  Needless to say, she declined a second date.

#2. Become a U Tube star.  After agreeing to be a contestant on Killer Karoake, a cross between American Idol and Fear Factor, where she was required to sing “Fever” while walking across the Walk of Fear containing boxes of maggots, lizards and an alligator, Kaplan wound up screaming at the top of her lungs.  It was the most horrible moment of her life, yet it was watched by over 6 million people.

#3. Find A Cause. As an animal activist, Kaplan wanted to play only animal roles and got a job playing an opera singing poodle in Finding Nemo at a Florida park.

#4. Dress for Success. Her first job in Las Vegas was as a singing telegram that included getting in costume as a showgirl, sexy Santa, rapper, and female Elvis.

#5. Become a hometown hero.  For Kaplan that meant bringing legendary football player, Terry Bradshaw's show, `"Terry Bradshaw: America's Favorite Dumb Blonde...A Life In Four Quarters",  in which she was a member of the cast, to her hometown of Pittsburgh, Pa. as part of the national tour.

#6. Marry your costar to climb the ladder of success.  She and her future husband, Graham Fenton, who plays Franki Valli in Jersey Boys, shared their first kiss on stage. The rest is history. Married 6 and 1/2 years, each are currently performing in top shows on the Las Vegas strip.

Before exiting the stage, Kaplan said “I feel successful and find the joy in everything I've done. (then added) Go to bed and get up with a great attitude."

Bob Anderson EntSpeaks 65923

Singer/impressionist Bob Anderson, who stars as Old Blue Eyes, Frank Sinatra, in Frank The Man. The Music at the Palazzo, describes his career as being “in the right place at the right time”. After serving in Viet Nam, Bob who was from Michigan, became a carpenter. “That wasn't working”, he says. “My relatives were musicians so I sat down with them in Detroit and decided to go to California.  I slept in my Volkswagon and wound up in Las Vegas where I met reporter Mark Tan in a bar inside the Sahara. He took me to a showroom rehearsal for Nancy Sinatra. The Everly Brothers had been fighting on stage.  They quit and left,  leaving Nancy in desperate need of an opening act. I said I can do whatever she needs and that night I opened there. I was also given a suite on the top of the hotel.  I was in Las Vegas for only 24 hours when I opened for Nancy Sinatra. She helped me get in at The Top of The Dunes. That's how I got started”.   That led to TV appearances on the Mike Douglas Show, Merv Griffin, Johnny Carson and David Letterman and becoming a headline act in Las Vegas.  “If I ever write a book,” Anderson said, 'I would title it “From Nancy to Frank”.”

Robin Leach EntSpeaks 65942

Walmsley introduced celebrity entertainment journalist Robin Leach as a fellow British bloke, part of pop culture and fond of champagne and caviar. “Everything I have done, I have created out of thin air.  The 3D's of life are dedication, determination and discipline”, stated Leach.

At ten years old Leach said he knew he wanted to be in the newspaper business and began working as a teen cub reporter for the Harrow Observer in his home town in England.  His introduction to show business was when he was sent to interview Leslie Bricusse, the writer of Anthony Newley's new musical (Stop the World, I Want to Get Off).  Eventually Robin went to New York, where he worked for the Daily News, launching the Star with Rupert Murdoch. Other career recollections include covering the Oscars where he sat down with Warren Beatty for an interview and doing the pilot for Entertainment Tonight (1980).  But, his biggest claim to fame was his idea for Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous that he hosted and ran for 14 years, and which  Leach claims was the first reality show.

He concluded, “I have dreams of doing a network TV show.  Whatever happened to me would never happened in Britain.  Whatever your passion, eat it, drink it, live it and follow it to the fullest.”

These days, Leach who has made his home in Las Vegas, writes a daily column, Vegas DeLuxe.

The next edition of EntSpeaks is planned for May, keeping with Walmsley’s attempt to stage one every three months. Among the VIP invited guests in this show's audiences were celebrities, several of whom could be possible speakers.  For the time being, we will have to wait and see.  What I do know is another memorable and insightful evening with six celebrities you think you know, is forthcoming.
