STK Las Vegas Celebrates its 3-Year Anniversary with a "Vintage Vegas Affair" Hosted by Claire Sinclair

STK, the sultry steakhouse inside The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas celebrated its 3 year anniversary on Monday night, June 2 with a “Vintage Vegas Affair”.  The event was hosted by PIN UP star, Claire Sinclair who helped transport guests back in time to the glitz and the glamour of old-school Vegas.

Reminiscent of a Vegas time-capsuled casino, the venue was filled with table games, Vegas showgirls and a life-size martini glass complete with a burlesque performer.

During the high energy affair, guests were treated to an assortment of passed appetizers including caviar-deviled eggs, bacon wrapped dates, crab stuffed mushrooms, crispy prawns, smoked salmon and tuna tartar from Executive Chef Stephen Hopcraft and a Moet Hennessey sponsored bar with Veuve Clicquot and Belvedere handcrafted cocktails.

Several celebrity guests including Zowie Bowie's Chris Phillips and violinist Lydia Ansel, Carrot Top, Chef Sammy D, journalist John Katsilometes, and celebrity impersonator Sean B. that walked down the red carpet and through the velvet ropes before entering the packed venue.

Guns N' Roses Guitarist Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal Goes Head-To-Head With Las Vegas Personalities in Ultimate Spicy Food Challenge

Guns N’ Roses guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal faced off with Hard Rock Hotel & Casino executives and Las Vegas personalities during Bumblefoot’s Spicy Food Challenge inside Pink Taco on Thursday, May 29. Contestants tested their spice tolerance alongside Bumblefoot, and the participant that lasted the longest was declared the winner. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and AEG Live Las Vegas provided the champion with a $1,000 donation to the charity of his or her choice and a gift bag.

Bumblefoot, a world-renowned and critically-acclaimed guitarist, has a special gift of consuming some of the world’s hottest foods. His tolerance is currently at 7.1 million Scoville units, which is three times stronger than commercial-grade pepper spray weapons.

 Pink Taco prepared several dishes with various levels of spices, each round getting hotter and hotter. Among the participants were some of the property’s key organizers for the Guns N’ Roses’ An Evening of Destruction. To commemorate its official opening, MCCARRAN MEDICAL CLINIC AND PHARMACY hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony at McCarran International Airport, on Friday, May 30. Located near the A/B checkpoint in Terminal 1, the medical facility opened its doors to locals, airport employees and tourists and will serve as a full-service pharmacy with licensed medical providers on staff as well as an extensive selection of TSA-approved toiletries and sundries. As the ninth largest airport in North America, McCarran sees nearly 42 million passengers annually.

McCarran Medical Clinic and Pharmacy will cater to the more than 15,000 airport employees, Las Vegas locals traveling out of and into the airport and domestic and international visitors. The first-of-its-kind, the facility will provide a variety of services that cater specifically to travelers, including vacation supply prescriptions, travel immunizations and urgent care services.

SAMBALATT, a Las Vegas-based, award-winning premier coffee restaurant, recently opened its newest location in a highly visible outdoor plaza at Monte Carlo on the Las Vegas Strip. The new, 3000 square foot restaurant with the capacity to hold approximately 80 people, is the brand’s largest venue to-date and features its award-winning menu items and amenities. PETER PAVONE, best know as a Sinatra impersonator, recently joined "Country Superstars" as Johnny Cash and George Strait at the V Theatre inside Planet Hollywood.  He will be working in the show part-time not all six nights. Show times are 7 p.m. Tuesday thru Sunday.

Vocal impressionist VERONIC DICAIR has announced she has partnered with Olive Crest as the June charity for “Lend Your Voice,”  her monthly awareness-building and fundraising effort for selected local nonprofits.  Throughout the month, Véronic will encourage audience donations by providing information on Olive Crest’s mission during her performances at the Jubilee Theater at Bally’s Las Vegas. Olive Crest is dedicated to preventing child abuse, treating and educating at-risk children, and preserving the family. By working tirelessly to meet the individual needs of kids in crisis by providing safe homes, counseling, and education for both youth and parents, Olive Crest has transformed the lives of over 60,000 children and families.

Life Time Athletic Summerlin, 10721 W. Charleston Blvd., will throw a POOLAPALOOZA POOL PARTY from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, at the club’s resort-style outdoor pool. The family-friendly event will feature a pirate theme and is open to the public.  Poolapalooza will provide fun for all ages with a live DJ, giant inflatable waterslide, face painting, balloon animals, refreshments and pirate-themed attractions and giveaways for children. The summer kick-off party will culminate with a dive-in showing of “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” on a giant projector screen at 8 p.m. Poolapalooza is open to members and non-members of Life Time Athletic Summerlin. The event is free for members and their guests; non-members are welcome at the standard club fee of $60 per person, which also grants a 24-hour access window to all club facilities.

In celebration of Pet Appreciation Week (June 1-7), CHAPMAN CHRYSLER JEEP, located at  930 Auto Show Drive in Henderson, will hold a PAMPER YOUR PET DAY EVENT on Saturday, June 7 from 10 a.m to 2 p.m  with a selection of services fit for furry pups of all shapes and sizes. Local vendors will be on-site to showcase their services and provide complimentary check-ups, grooming, nail clipping and more. In addition, the day will include food, raffle prizes and radio promotions. The next taping of Tony Sacca’s “LAS VEGAS ROCKS VARIETY SHOW” will feature comedian Louie Anderson, harpist virtuoso Mariano Gonzales and singer Anne Martinez, backed by the Michael T Band, on Saturday, June 7 at 2 p.m. in the main showroom at the Plaza Hotel & Casino. The hour-long taping is open to the public. Admission is FREE.

BROWN SABBATH, the alter ego of Austin-based psych-funk collective Brownout, performs live at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas, Friday, June 6 and Saturday, June 7. Doors open 9:30 PM.  Show starts 10:30 PM. Tickets are available at no cover. Ages 21 and over with ID welcome.

Acclaimed Las Vegas-based artist ANGEL DELGADO will present a new series of paintings and sculptures in a solo exhibition titled "CONSTANCY" at the AMANDA HARRIS GALLERY OF CONTEMPORARY ART, 900 S. Las Vegas Blvd. #150, with a special opening reception and artist talk on June 14 from 6- 8 p.m. A special Video Performance will be held on Thursday, July 10, from 6-9 p.m. Inspired by the months Delgado was imprisoned in Cuba for a controversial performance art piece in 1990, the works examine the unique materials available to prisoners with limited access to supplies. The pieces include carved soap blocks, drawings on handkerchiefs and paintings. Delgado’s impressive work is largely based on the limitations, restrictions, prohibitions and controls that are frequently imposed on human beings in society.

Beginning Monday, June 16 and running through August 22, 2014, HONEY SALT, located on the Westside of Las Vegas at 1031 S. Rampart Blvd., will open its doors to the world and introduce the SUMMER OF LOVE, a focused program to raise funds for a variety of valley charities throughout the summer. Each week Honey Salt and its chefs will partner with a different local charity on a special three course Taste of Honey menu highlighting the best seasonal and local ingredients. $5 of each menu purchased will be donated to that week's cause. The LAS VEGAS IMPROVISATION PLAYERS kicks off its summer schedule of improvised music and comedy shows with a brand new performance on Saturday, June 21 at 7:00 p.m. at the American Heritage Academy, located at 6126 South Sandhill Road. Tickets are only $10 and available for purchase at the door which opens at 6:40 p.m.

GOLDEN RAINBOW has revealed the thrilling lineup for its 28th annual “RIBBON OF LIFE” production at The Penn & Teller Theater at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino on Sunday, June 22 at 1 p.m. This year’s production, “Under the Big Top,” will be full of exhilarating circus-inspired acts with performances by entertainers Clint Holmes, Josh Strickland and Reva Rice; cast members from Dancing Queen, Frank Marino’s Divas Las Vegas, JERSEY BOYS, Jubilee, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, RagTag Entertainment, ROCK OF AGES, Zombie Burlesque and Cirque du Soleil’s The Beatles LOVE, Michael Jackson ONETM, Mystère and Zumanity; vocal groups Sin City Opera and The Sound Collage; and many more. The spectacular will be hosted by TV personality Chris Saldaña and Edie of Cirque du Soleil’s Zumanity. All proceeds help support Golden Rainbow’s mission of providing housing and direct financial assistance to the Southern Nevada HIV/AIDS community. Music legend CHUBBY CHECKER, aka 'King of the Twist’, is set to perform at Sam’s Town Live! located inside Sam’s Town Hotel & Gambling Hall on June 28.  Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available from $34.95, plus tax and fees. Also on property was breakout star Aloe Blacc, who returned to REHAB for his second show this year. Blacc sang his hit songs “I Need a Dollar,” “The Man,” “Lift Your Spirit” and “Wake Me Up” before continuing the party inside Body English Nightclub, where he took the stage to perform again.

At FIZZ, the luxurious new champagne bar at Caesars Palace, husband and wife power-rock duo Chad Kroeger and Avril Lavigne partied with a large group of friends including uber-manager Larry Rudolph and Kroeger's bandmates from Nickelback at Creative Director David Furnish and Sir Elton John's private VIP table on the upper level, while Backstreet Boys' Kevin Richardson spent a more intimate evening with his wife, Kristin Willits. Richardson had just wrapped up a two-night engagement with his band at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

Also at LAVO on Saturday evening was actress and model Pamela Anderson. Anderson and a group of friends enjoyed Linguini with Mixed Seafood and the restaurant's signature Kobe Meatball.

Actor Chris Noth was spotted having dinner at TAO Asian Bistro on Saturday night. Noth, best known for his long-running roles on "Law & Order" and "Sex and The City," enjoyed Chinese Five Spice Short Ribs, Satay of Chilean Sea Bass, Lobster Wontons and Pork Potstickers with a Chile Sesame Glaze. Noth and his friend both mentioned that the short ribs and wontons were their favorites.  

Dallas Mavericks owner and "Shark Tank" star Mark Cuban was spotted upstairs at TAO Nightclub. NBA stars Chandler Parsons, Dirk Nowitzki, Michael Finley and Brian Cardinal joined Cuban at their VIP table near the dance floor. The group partied into the night to the sounds of DJ Ross One.

Comedian Pauly Shore was also spotted at TAO Nightclub at a VIP table.

"Extra" host and "Chasing Maria Menounos" star Maria Menounos dined with friends at LAVO. The group included her boyfriend, Keven Undergaro, and "Bar Rescue" host Jon Taffer and his wife, Nicole.

Cheryl Burke and Mark Ballas of "Dancing With The Stars" continued their birthday celebrations with dinner at LAVO.

Def Jam co-founder, Russell Simmons, was sighted attending Rock of Ages at The Venetian Las Vegas. Following the performance, Simmons joined the cast backstage.

Shania Twain hosted a private karaoke party with a small group of friends including David Copperfield and her sister, Carrie Ann Edwards on the lower level of The Deck at Chateau Nightclub & Rooftop at Paris Las Vegas.

Back Street Boys, Nick Carter, AJ McLean, Howie Dorough and Kevin Richardson arrived at midnight  for their official concert after party. While taking a back route to the rooftop, they walked up to The Deck at Chateau where they discovered the private karaoke party. Twain spotted the Backstreet Boys and caught up with them before heading upstairs for their party.

Carter went straight to the DJ booth where he took over the turntables for hours.

Chart-topping artist Tyrone Griffin, better known as Ty Dolla Sign, also made a surprise appearance and took over the fourth level hot spot for a live performance as renowned rapper, producer and actor Busta Rhymes appeared in the DJ booth.
