Fans gathered in the hallway between Pink Taco and Fuel Café Express at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, on Thursday, August 18, to watch hard rock band Breaking Benjamin get honored with a memorabilia case dedication.

The display showcases Shaun Foist’s drum heads, sticks and cymbal; Benjamin Burnley’s black jacket, wrist bands and picks; Keith Wallen’s boots and prescription glasses; Jasen Rauch’s red flannel shirt; and Burnley’s guitar that was used to throw 30 feet across the stage during the band’s last performance at The Joint on October 22, 2015.

Breaking Benjamin is currently on tour with heavy metal band Disturbed.

August Edition of Mondays Dark Benefits Make A Wish of Southern Nevada

The August edition of the monthly fundraising event Mondays Dark with Mark Shunock, to benefit a local charity, took place on Monday evening, August 15 inside Vinyl at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. This month’s chosen charity was Make A Wish of Southern Nevada.

The theme for the entertainment filled evening was “ICONS”.

Corinne Zarzour opened the show with ’Try’ by Janis Joplin followed by Gloria Vivelo & Elise Victoria singing Whitney Houston’s ’I Wanna Dance with Somebody’. Joe DiNunzio sang ‘You’re Nobody Till Somebody Loves You’; Daryll Borges paid tribute to the late Prince with his rendition of ‘Kiss’; Absinthe’s Green Fairy Melody Sweets sang ’That’s Alright’ by Elvis; Tai Lewis sang ‘Last Dance’ from Donna Summer; Travis Cloer and Chadwick Johnson performed ‘One’ by U2; Jassen Allen sang a solo as well as backup vocals; rocker Stephanie Calvert sang Queen’s ’Tie Your Mother Down; Marc Donovan gave a Sinatra style rendition of ’Touch Me’ by the Doors; Scott Moreau & Rachel Dudt paid tribute to Johnny Cash & June Cater singing ‘Jackson. In a tribute to The King of Pop, Michael Jackson, Martin Kaye performed ’Billie Jean’ followed by Moya Angela singing ‘Rock With You’. Wrapping up the show Chris Phillips to to the stage appropriately dressed as David Bowie ‘Ziggy Stardust’. As always, musical director Kenny Davidsen and the Mondays Dark Band provided back up.

During the evening’s festivities, Celebrity impersonator John Di Domenico, as Republican Presidential candidate Donald J. Trump, made a humorous campaign stop.

All proceeds from the evening, including ticket sales and a silent auction, go to Make A Wish of Southern Nevada.

Fremont Street Experience Presents St. Jude's Ranch for Children a Check for $15,787 from SlotZilla Charity Challenge

Fremont Street Experience partnered with CBS RADIO stations: 98.5 KLUC, Mix 94.1, Q100.5, X107.5, and Newstalk 840AM KXNT, to host a SlotZilla Charity Challenge on Monday, August 1 from noon – 6 p.m.,  to benefit St. Jude’s Ranch for Children. 100% of SlotZilla revenue from flights on the lower Zipline and upper Zoomline went to St. Jude’s Ranch for Children, totaling $15,787.

CINDY WILLIAMS, who gained fame for her role as Shirley Feeney in the iconic television comedy Laverne & Shirley, will continue to guest star in the GFour Production of MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL® at Harrah’s Las Vegas through October 1, 2016. Williams, an actress and author made her Vegas debut in July, marking the third time she has performed in Menopause The Musical®, having previously appeared in the Tampa, Florida and Laguna Beach, CA productions.  The actress joins current cast members Vita Corimbi, Earth Mother, Jacquelyn Holland Wright, Soap Star, Lori Legacy, Iowa Housewife, and Lisa Mack, Professional Woman. After each performance, Williams greets fans and signs copies of her memoir, “Shirley, I Jest!”, a hilarious and heartfelt book about her life in entertainment.  In addition, at the August 25 performance, Charles Fazzino, ne of the most popular and highly collected pop artists of all time, presented Willams with a 3-D Menopause The Musical® original creation and was on hand to sign posters following the show.

EMERIL'S NEW ORLEANS FISH HOUSE at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino has announced JEAN PAUL LABADIE as the new chef de cuisine. Chef Labadie brings more than 20 years of culinary experience to this position and rejoins the Emeril's New Orleans Fish House team after initially working at the restaurant in 1996. As chef de cuisine, Labadie will be directly involved with managing the kitchen, hiring new culinary staff and introducing new entree items to the menu.

The 40th annual MRS. AMERICA PAGEANT returns to its original home at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, Saturday, August 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. inside the renowned International Westgate Theater at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.  Acting as host will be actress Florence Henderson, star of the classic show “The Brady Bunch”. The winner of the 2016 Mrs. America Pageant will go on to represent the United States in the internationally-televised Mrs. World Pageant. Tickets are available for purchase in-person the day of the show.

The National Atomic Testing Museum, 755 East Flamingo Road, invites visitors to delve into Japan's captivating culture during their JAPANESE CULTURE DAY on Saturday, August 27 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This day of fun and adventure will be available FREE for both museum members and non-members alike. (Please note that museum admission is not included). A brand new live stage show, “ONE EPIC NIGHT!” co-starring Vegas magic duo JARRETT & RAJA (known as The Magic and Piano Guys), who appeared on “Masters of Illusion” and “Shark Tank” and  were Howie Mandel’s wild card pick on season seven of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent”, opens Monday, August 29, 2016 at the Plaza Hotel & Casino for a limited engagement. Two-time UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez enjoyed lunch at Cabo Wabo Cantina in Las Vegas ahead of the highly anticipated UFC 202 match.

UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley and current Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson, who holds the longest championship reign at eight consecutive titles, enjoyed a night out on the Strip with dinner and drinks at BEER PARK at Paris Las Vegas. Later in the evening, Woodley,Johnson, Rashad Evans, producer Shaunie O’Neal and Miss Canada, Victoria Pedri, partied the night away at Chateau Nightclub & Rooftop at Paris Las Vegas.

Latin artist Marc Anthony was spotted at Marquee Nightclub in The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Taking in the party from a VIP cabana, Anthony was joined by his wife and a group of friends.

Former NBA player Derek Fisher was seen at TAO Nightclub in The Venetian, hanging out in the DJ booth with Eric Dlux.

Also at TAO was NFL star Jerry Rice who spent some time in the DJ booth as well.

Dan Reynolds, lead singer of GRAMMY® Award-winning rock band Imagine Dragons, spent an unforgettable evening with a group of three other people, including his wife Aja Volkman, frontwoman of the indie rock band Nico Vega, at  “O” by Cirque du Soleil. Before the performance, they were greeted by cast members, where they posed for photos with some of their favorite artists including the show’s Ballerina, Head Comet and Strongman.

Social media starlets and stars of the E! television show WAGS were spotted at Hakkasan Las Vegas Nightclub in MGM Grand. Natalie Halcro, Sophia Pearson and Nicole Williams along with boyfriend and NFL star Larry English arrived at the nightlife destination around 2:00 a.m. after starting their night out at Las Vegas’ newest hotspot, JEWEL Nightclub inside ARIA Resort & Casino.

The stunning group was seen mingling at Hakkasan’s…aboutLASTnight party with Lil Jon. Joined by Hakkasan Group resident DJ Ruckus and girlfriend Shanina Shaik, the group appeared to be fully enjoying their night out in Sin City.

Recording artist Jermaine Dupri took over Worship Thursday at TAO Nightclub in The Venetian. Fueling up for the night, Dupri enjoyed dinner with a group of friends that included hip hop artist Bow Wow before heading upstairs to the nightclub where Dupri took to the DJ booth.

Boston Marathon bombing survivor Adrianne Haslet, a professional dancer who lost part of her left leg when bombs planted near the finish line exploded, visited REAL BODIES at Bally’s. She enjoyed the entire exhibition and was particularly fascinated with the compelling specimens featuring legs and feet.

Boston Marathon bombing survivor Adrianne Haslet-Davis earned her wings at Vegas Indoor Skydiving. The philanthropist, motivational speaker and professional dancer, who recently reached the summit of Volcan Cayambe, Ecuador’s third-highest mountain, once again conquered any fears of heights, as she took flight in the 22-foot tall wind tunnel.

Members of the pop rock band R5, Rocky Lynch, Riker Lynch, Rydel Lynch and Ellington Ratliff, were spotted attending the hit show ABSINTHE at Caesars Palace. After taking in ABSINTHE's outlandish and hilarious antics during the 8 p.m. performance, the band went backstage to meet with The Gazillionaire, his raucous assistant Joy Jenkins and security detail.
