Cagle is The Real Deal
C-W singer had the House of Blues Audience Singing Along

Chris Cagle’s fans expressed their love for the popular Country Western
singer at his December 9th performance at the House of Blues at Mandalay
Bay. There’s no better time for a Texan to perform in Las Vegas than
National Rodeo Finals – NFR - week.
I arrived early and had a chance to meet and chat with a few of the
hundreds of fans that turned out for the Texas- born entertainer’s
spirited show.
Terry Brown was in from Kansas City with friends and daughters on an
annual mother daughter trip. They always pick rodeo week and knew all
the words to the songs. Terry sat down before the show to stake out
their standing room during the performance.

But they couldn’t outdo Las Vegas resident Donna Callas who has been to
25 of Chris’s shows in the last two and a half years at locations
including Nebraska, California, Colorado and Idaho. Donna was front row
center and told me she been privileged to meet Chris several times.
Donna served as my resident expert during the show, giving me song
titles after two notes.

Patti from Southern California has lost track of the number of times she
has seen Chris perform.

Trina & Kathy of Las Vegas were seeing Chris in person for the first
time.

Scotty & Frankie came to Las Vegas “Just for the h--- of it.
Upstairs at the House of Blues, people were filing into the seated area.
Downstairs we stood for the show. The crowd was friendly and happy.
Could it have had something to do with the amount of alcohol being
poured at the bars that surround the standing area.?

Finally, the show started. The audience began to sing along with the
first song, “You Might Want to Think About It” Chris continued his hits
with “Hey Ya’ll” followed by “Laredo” and “Breathe In, Breathe Out” The
predominately female crowd grew in volume as they joined in on my
personal favorite, “Wal-Mart Parking Lot”. The evening’s performance
also included “Miss Me Baby”
Then Chris took a breather and turned the stage over to his talented
musician. He came back with more of the fan’s favorites. He brought down
the house with “What a Beautiful Life” and got a huge applause for “What
Kinda Gone”
Fans are grateful that Chris has been able to bounce back from his
medially imposed period of rest and that his vocal cords seem to be back
and better than ever. He’s cute, he’s sexy, and he’s a heck of a singer.
I may have been on the older side of average age of audience members,
and I may have even been the least familiar with his work, but I had a
heck of a good time at the show. Chris Cagle is down home goodness. He’s
gonna be around folks.
